i like how it's an award winning artist... cause it's real fuckin' hard to win an award at a random small town shitty convention..
-
also if you've been around for 30 years getting tattoos, then you must be at LEAST 45, why would someone who's a grown ass adult be worried about their parents getting mad at a tattoo....... ok and they're called PANTS. perfect tattoo cover up it doesn't seem to me like you want to talk about tattoos anyway, all you seem to want to talk about is how your wife is an apprentice.
-
if you've been around tattoo shops for 30 years i have some questions for you why is your wife doing an apprenticeship now? apprenticeships are for the young. if you're already 50 you're a little to late for getting into the tattoo game. if you've been in the tattoo game for 30 how come you've barely got any tattoos? you said in another post you've put tons of money into tattooing yet when you posted the tattoo your wife did on you there is nothing else anywhere near it. no one gives a fuck that you read a tattoo magazine, anyone can do that. just because you look at pictures doesn't mean you know ANYTHING. you are the same person who said opening a shop in a very small town that already has a very reputable shop it ok because it will "generate industry", if you've been around 30 years you'll know there's already industry in the tattoo world. asking the people on a tattoo forum if a full leg piece on someone who's going to become a tattooer is just dumb. OBVIOUSLY we are all going to say yes go for it because pretty much everyone on here is already or on they're way to the full body look. did you ever think that maybe the reason EVERYONE on here is jumping all over isn't because they didn't read your post properly it's because you're asking stupid and offensive questions

yeah i try to but sometimes it just doesn't work.. the tape most people use gives me a rash so sometimes i have to take it off. for my back i always made sure to leave it though because i have dogs and it would have been terrible i think a lot of it just comes down the regular "don't pick, scratch, or soak your scabbed tattoo" rule

nevermind....................
-
is the tattoo on you then? that's rad you'd let her do the first one on you... after some bad experiences i'd never let another apprentice touch me with even the smallest tattoo
-
not sure if anyone has said this yet but here's what i've learned from some people who know what's up. i've tried it so has my man and it WORKS. it's mostly for larger work when you get home soak it in the hottest bath you can handle for a while re-wrap BEFORE it dries completely leave the bandage on overnight in the morning wash it very well with soapy water, it might hurt a little but keep rubbing it untill all the gooey shit and blood and ink comes off let it air dry and then care for it like you normally would with lotion or whatever you like. i find when you do this the scabbing is much more minimal and the healing time is a lot quicker. the people who told us about this said it's how the japanese heal their large scale work

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH oh my god... watching that made my fucking blood boil... i kind of wish i knew that chick so i could hit her with something...
-
looks pretty decent for the first one ever... wayyyyy better than the couple i've done (i'm not actually trying to be a tattooer though, just did them for fun/partying) i am a big believer in apprentices starting out with really small shit that they can get done at once though... i guess it's up to the teacher though what the apprentice can handle

"I quit!" how to stay friends when you leave a shop...
Ursula replied to Lizzie's topic in Crazy Tattoo Stories
the only people i know who are now 'hated' by the place they left was because they either a)got fired for stealing b)got fired for being a fucking idiot c)they opened a shop up two blocks away d)they just up and left without telling anyone- 19 replies

Best place for getting prints made.
Ursula replied to steven kissinger's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
my friend Steve (brother of tattooer Jeff Cribb) does printing especially for tattooers. People who have used him include Richard Stell, Jeremy Swed, Nick Collela and many other top notch tattooers. You can find him at Deep Six (click the name) -
