  1. I'm sorry but the heart on the couple is fucking retarded.
  2. Cookie- I know exactly what you mean. To throw us back in track here's another dude who's shit I like a lot GOVERNMENT STREET TATTOO - VICTORIA BC - chris david tattoo Chris David he's in Victoria BC. I used to get tattooed by him when he lived in Toronto. I'm not really into the kind of new school or whatever you'd call it stuff he does but his more traditional stuff is really nice
  3. Absolutely nothing wrong with getting an awesome piece of flash!!
  4. I agree that the Berit guy's work isn't anything special, and I can't stand his website, very hard to navigate plus it has a soundtrack which ruined the podcast I was listening to. The Musa dude's stuff to me looks like it's technically done really well for the style, but I don't like it at all and it doesn't seem to me like something that would stand the test of time. I agree with Stewart that they don't look like tattoos, at least not what I think a tattoo looks like. I don't want to be 90 years old with a blue and pink smear all over my arm. If you like their work though, there's no problem with getting either of them to tattoo you, it's just not something I would every get. Just to make it clear no one is bagging on you Raskolinikov I wasn't really that into the last guy that Stewart posted either, it was nice work but to me nothing to exceptional, but I'm not really that into traditional Jap style stuff.
  5. Ah yes i know what you mean, I generally don't like any of that shit either.
  6. I'm not really into that back piece, but that doesn't make it shitty or anything. Stewart - I think Thomas' stuff is pretty amazing. The Guy Le Tattooer stuff isn't as good but I still like some of it. I wouldn't get anything big from either of them but I wouldn't mind something small.
  7. I'm not saying I wouldn't get that style of tattooing, it's just not something I have done yet. I love Thomas' work and your guy's stuff is really nice too, I'd get tattooed by either of them no problem! Capt - I hadn't heard of Sailor Eddie Jr. but now that I know I'd get tattooed by him any day Some other people who's stuff I really like is Mike Bruce and Mike Woods both from Inksmith, they've got a habit of great tattooers named Mike, it's to bad only one of them is known by most!
  8. Raskolnikov I really like the work in the first link, not the style of stuff that i've been getting but it's still really nice. Kind of like Thomas Hooper in a way.
  9. I love the idea of your great grandfather starting a collection that you still add to, that's pretty awesome.
  10. I don't know what people would generally call the line stuff... If I wanted clouds like that I'd explain it as Jap style clouds but in that american traditional way, I don't know if there's a one word term for those.. The red glow is generally called a burst by the people I know.. It doesn't have to be red, it can be pretty much any colour depending on what colours the tattoo is..
  11. I'm into that, not something I would probably get, but it's look awesome.
  12. Just wanted to say Ras Trent is one of my favourite things ever & New Jersey Tebori sounds like one of the worst things ever. Come visit me, I can hook you up with some sweet Canadian Tebori, I got some needles and a bamboo stick I can tie them to. They are sewing needles, but I figure their larger size will help me get the ink in. $350 an hour. You know where to find me!
  13. HAhahahaa I've seen the grammar one before, it's pretty great... There also Failbook - Funny Facebook Status Messages ( Failbooking )
  14. I thought his new avatar was quite smashing actually.. Makes me laugh ever time I see it...
  15. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHA p.s. I just found out the word 'dumpster' is actually a trade marked name
  16. By wealth of knowledge I mean all the photos, videos and blog posts. They all have things to learn for anything interested in the art of tattooing. In one of the threads he invited us to look up his wife on Facebook. Well I did, it's a blank profile with no informations or photos other than a made up sounding name and that she worked at such and such tattoo shop. When you click on the tattoo shop it's another empty profile. So yup there ya have it. And you're right, I should have never fed the troll.
  17. I've heard of him, I hadn't seen a lot of his work though. It's really really nice
  18. I think Scott McEwan who just left ownership of TCB Tattoo in Toronto to move back home to New Zealand is pretty amazing. I don't know where he's working in NZ but he's somewhere! Here's a link to the TCB website that has photos TCB Tattoos Actually, everyone who works there deserves a little recognition because they're all great

While I haven't been to his shop so I don't know how they work as far as appointments and all that. I did meet Charlie at a convention where his booth was attached to ours and the tattoos he did looked really nice. Bold, clean traditional stuff. I'm not sure who else works there. If you check out their site BOB ROBERTS WORLD FAMOUS SPOTLIGHT TATTOO there's an artist section, but I could get the portfolio links to work. It looks like they haven't updated it in a while because it lists Juan as working there and I'm pretty sure he's only working at Blackheart but don't quote me on that as I'm not 100%
  20. That sucks cause I really want to put one right above my thumb nail. I guess it'll take probably under a minute for what I want so it might be ok.... Tattooing the sides of my fingers was pretty awful but so quick that it kind of didnt matter
  21. Oh man. Someone posted a picture on instagram a while back of an under the nail tattoo, made me cringe for sure. I can't even imagine how bad that would feel! My friend convinced me to let him tattoo my actual nails once. It didn't hurt at all and stayed until the nail grew out.
