5. Joining online forums when you have no real interest in the subject matter

@Hunter Morrow I still can't tell if I love you or hate you. Also, I agree that Paul's shop has crossed over to the comical side. When I visited a few years ago it reminded me more of the Goths Up Trees blog than of classic horror.

I know someone (who i don't like) who was trying to learn to tattoo, went around saying they'd pay someone 20 grad to teach them. Now they're a tattooer. Don't know if the money was ever given to the guy who did the teaching, if it was they've kept it quiet. I do know for a fact, the person who learned did and does have that kind of money.

yup, was his left arm. like @Avery Taylor said, skateboarding was the culprit! I didn't ask him when he expected to be back tattooing, I figured he wouldn't really have an idea yet since it had only been like a week or something when I last saw him.

If you're gonna put your art out there for the public to see, and it bites someone else's style so hard don't be shocked when people say something about it. I'm not saying Cleen sucks. I'm saying his shit looks like he's been looking at a few too many Conn prints, and, his work is also not as good as Conn's. Go to google image search and type in Chris Conn tattoo, then type in Chris Cleen and you should be able to see what I mean. That's my opinion. I know others who feel the same, I know others who don't. Decide for yourself. And as far as people not being here to defend themselves, you'd be surprised who reads this forum but doesn't have an account or post. I've received messages from people before about something I've said here, for all we know both Cleen and Conn read this shit.

Yeah just to be clear I wasn't saying it isn't worth it if you've got the money and can justify spending that amount. For me though, I don't feel like spending a grand on a tattoo that size is worth it. I'd rather get something larger from someone else that I like.

Also, there is an episode of This American Life which follows the journey of three American friends who totally fuck over a scammer like this. It's pretty crazy the things the scammer does to try and get this money.
