  1. hey Big Al I just want to mention I in no way meant to let anyone think I have a problem with overweight people or anything like that.
  2. yeah it seems a little ridiculous to me too. and you're right, smelly people are the worst
  3. I worked for a guy who claimed to have more than one female customer start masturbating while getting tattooed.. This is something I can't really understand.. I mean I guess if you are a exhibitionist and a bit masochistic then maybe? Same guy also told me a few tales about ladies getting totally naked to get their lower back tattooed, or ladies getting totally topless to get a small shoulder or chest tattoo.. Unfortunately I think on most occasions they're the ladies you don't wanna see naked who like to get naked.... I actually remember hiding in the back of the shop on a couple occasions and having to force myself not to burst out laughing at some of them.. But yeah @hawk is right, I'd rather have to talk to some fat chick or whatever then deal with a zanax queen (or king) any day, in just about any situation unless it's when I'm on a plane or trying to buy zanex, the later of which doesn't really happen....
  4. hahahaha nice one. I wonder if all the retards who think they want to be a tattooer cause it's so fun and cool realize that 90% of the time it's tattooing fat chicks asses and titties....
  5. I just watched the Grizzly Man trailer, he sounds like a hippie douche. I'm not surprised he got eaten.
  6. Also one time I fed a bear a peppermint with my hand, not joking. Their bear mouths are really soft and gentle when they want to be.
  7. And nature once again reminds us why people aren't supposed to try and own wild animals. Have you guys seen the Canadian movie about the dude who get attacked by a bear ? It's a documentary. So he gets attacked, lives, and then makes it his life mission to build a bear proof suit to then go find the same bear again and fight it. It's amazing. If you ever thought Canada wasn't full of hicks and yokels you should watch this. Oh just remembered the name of the movie it's Project Grizzly.
  8. I hate everything. That tattoo reminded me. I'm so, so glad that I somehow knew in highschool without really knowing why, that it was a bad idea to get band tattoos. I'm willing to put money on a bet that the person with the green day ticket was under 21 when he got it.
  9. So does this mean everyone here who said signing tattoos is the worst ever and people who do so deserve 'fists flying' feel that way about Paul Rogers or Erik Inksmith? I bet you don't. How's that for a double standard. I've seen lots of old tattoos with signatures. Not just from Paul and Erik theirs I've just had more exposure to. Also to the guy with the Jap backpiece. The artist signing his name wasn't what 'dragged you into the Japanese political bullshit'. Going to Japan and willingly getting a backpiece dragged you into it. Also I doubt it's ever had a negative effect in your life. Get over it.
  10. I've got plastic frame glasses too, I wear them because I need to see on a daily basis. I chose plastic frames because they looked good, last longer, cost way less. I go into rage mode when I see assholes wearing glasses with no lenses. Fucking RETARDS.
  11. I go to Toronto about once a month now and every time I go I see at least two new shops. 99% of them are complete shit. On my most recent trip I noticed a new one on Queen St (the main downtown street with all the 'cool' shopping places). It's a tattoo shop that also sells goth clothes and t shirts. I saw the tattooers who work there standing outside, they both had black out style coverups on large portions of their arms, def didn't make me want to get tattooed by them. Not that I'd ever go into a shop like that in the first place. So, what ever happened to the good ole days when people like those mentioned in this thread would show up to work and find their shop had been fire bombed? Where I live (Brighton, Ontario) there are zero tattoo shop. Not one. I haven't even heard of anyone tattooing out of their house lately. I'm thankful for it. I'd rather live someplace with no shops than 50 shit shops. The next town over (Trenton, Ontario) has two shops, one is the first place I ever got tattooed (it's called Jonzie's), more than 10 years later they still have the same awful staff, still selling tattoo set ups (everything you need 'cept talent for $500). The other shop is called "It's YOUR Body" they also offer sunless tanning and hair cuts, I'm sure you can tell by the shop name how awesome it is. They also did piercings on me when I was 15 or 16 years old without adult consent. The reason I named the shops is because I know there are people here who live in my area and I hope they can see this and know not to get tattooed there. Anyways, Deb, I know it's shitty right now but it sounds like the new shop in your town is well on it's way to driving itself into the dirt. Hopefully your customers will have the sense to realize how great your shop is and how shitty this new one seems to be.
  12. Number two app in the iPhone app store right now. At least it's free?
  13. I don't understand why people think that band is so amazing. They suck and the music videos aren't even as funny as everyone claims. What a load of shit. When people starting sending me the links going OMG THIS IS SOOOOO AWESOME I thought they'd accidentally sent me the wrong link.
  14. hahaha i saw that flickr just yesterday, full of gold
  15. wait for season for MrRad it's pretty awesome
  16. 100% fucking hipster bullshit. this is how i can tell a)piles of zines in the background b)stone washed tight pants c)ugly ironic sneakers d)really small fitting hoodie e)pants rolled all the way up so you can see my raggedy old vans and craaaazy socks on Mr. Background d)dude is wearing a friendship bracelet and I'm assuming he's not a 12 year old e) horrible ironic art passing for something real
  17. I think it depends on the tattoo and it's placement. I've never had anyone comment on mine and have never witnessed someone being accused of gang affiliation because of one. However I do know that Jesus who used to work at elm St and I don't know where he works now has a number of 13 tattoos including one on his face I believe. He said once that he's had a lot of issues with police and Latinos thinking he's ms13. Im sure it doesn't help that he is very heavily tattooed and kind of dresses the part too.
  18. first point - totally agree. second point - a couple months ago on the train this probably 10 year old black kid and his approx. 12 year old sister were having an argument two seats away from me about weather I looked hot or freaky. The boy thought I was hot and had been whistling at me which I thought was pretty funny. His sister was very adamant about thinking I looked freaky and that he was weird for liking someone like that. It was pretty damn amusing. It had nothing to do with their race, your comment just reminded me of it. Also, I thought Lil' Wayne was cool? I guess he's dropping in popularity these days? Either way his 'rebirth' album is awful.
  19. My best friend was waiting at a bus stop when a car of young guys drove by and threw full take out cups of soda at her. They also yelled things like slut and whore. The only difference between her and other people at the bus stop was her tattoos. My fiancé and I have a running joke (even though it's not funny and ends up wasting our money) that we have to worst restaurant luck in history. We've been ignored, experienced very rude service, had out orders wrong, received cold or just disgusting food at countless places in different cities that other people seem to enjoy eating at. So either we really do have horrible food karma, or wait staff in general don't like tattooed people. It's stupid because in my experience tattooers leave way better tips than rich old people. I've been followed around like a thief in many stores, too bad it's almost always when I'm wearing short sleeves. I guess tattooed people steal. When I'm in Jacksonville FL I can no longer take the bus anywhere after having men say things to me like "if I asked to see all your tattoos would you get naked right now". I can't even wait for a bus there without having people yell things out their car windows. I've even had people around the block multiple times just so they can keep driving by me. I actually can't even take my dogs for a walk there because of people yelling out their car windows. I know it's because of my tattoos as I've sat at many bus stations there and never saw any 'normal' person treated that way. I actually had one guy drive by a couple times, then go park his car, walk over to the bus stop and say "oh do you know when the bus is coming i'm waiting for a friend" me "I'm not sure probable within the next half hour" him "oh o.k.... well do you need a ride somewhere" me "no." and the he got in his car and left never to return.. hmmm wonder what ever happened to that 'friend' he was waiting for. Apparently tattooed women are sluts and whores who deserve to be treated as such. My own mother has the attitude of "you did it to yourself so you can't really complain." I also find there is stigma even in the tattooed community. I've noticed many tattooed men treated all tattooed women as if they are the same. Yes, there are thousands of 'tat whores' out there, who only get tattooed to look cool and who only go to conventions to try and fuck known tattooers. There are also the rest of us who don't go around wearing whore clothes and fucking every tattooer we meet. There's some of us who aren't cheating on our men, who aren't getting trendy tattoos to look cool, who don't show up at a convention with 6 inch stilettos to wear all weekend. There's no one here than can deny female tattooers get shit on by their male counterparts all the time. Yes there are some awful female tattooers but there's even more awful male tattooers out there. In the end, I try to wear long sleeves and pants as much as possible. I haven't worn a bathing suit to the beach the entire time I was in Florida except once, that went horribly. Hopefully one day this won't be such a problem for us all.
