  1. As Dan said, nothing compares to walking into a shop and asking an artist in person. While I'm not a tattoo artist I am pretty sure almost everything can be covered but the technical bit comes in to what could cover it. This comes down to size, color, placement, pattern and most importantly the artist skill (and skill at covers in general). I also am wondering where you are so I could help point you in the right direction. Location does matter (if you don't want to travel). What you would like to get tattooed over it matters as well since you already have a tattoo you don't like, there is no sense in covering it up with another tattoo you don't like. I also cannot see the image as photobucket says it has been delete/moved.

    hey

Welcome! We try our best to stay on good behaviour
  3. I second this notion. I started out over caring for my tattoos and slowly weened off the crazy amounts of attention till I found a sweet spot. The golden rule I follow is this. It is an open would care of it as such. Would you slather up an abrasion with lotion then wrap it up all day?
  4. If I head out I'll be out there for about a week (gotta visit some people I know).
  5. Looking to book for this. Where is a cheap place to stay? I want to save more money for tattoos instead of waste it on hotel costs
  6. @Joe Shit to the rescue once again!
  7. I'm glad this tread grew a mind of its own! Good responses and awesome suggestions everyone!
  8. From my personal experience get what you think looks good and put no more thought into it. If you force something out of a tattoo it will be "exactly what you asked for but not what you wanted".
  9. I'm all about reviving old threads but this one is dead for a reason. Nothing new to add of value.
  10. I didn't even know this was happening! I will see if work allows it and try and get down there, it looks like fun.
  11. I don't have any desire to move into another war zone. Already lived in 2.
  12. I can't live without the pros I listed. Traveling for work makes me go insane because the food always sucks, everything closes early and I LOVE getting shit delivered because I am lazy on the weekends. I would only move to either SF or a state with "will issue" CCW/Open carry. Also rule of thumb is if it's a gun its illegal in NJ/Cali/IL/DC/NYC. There are ways around it but DAMN does it suck as a gun collector
  13. I've gotten my local bar to sometimes change the channel to a show I watch. Since its a dead end dive bar they usually dont care as long as I got a beer in hand.
  14. I'm hoping that there will be a meetup in SF if I can book it for State of Grace.
  15. Yea I do realized we are spoiled. With the convenience does come the insane downsides to the area though. Pros 24/7 deliver of ANYTHING (groceries, car parts, even the not so legal stuff) A place to get/do anything you can dream up Food food food! Cons Insane rent/housing costs Traffic Cost of insurance Tiny living quarters Too many fuckin people Gun laws blow
  16. Haha powerhouse is down the street from me. I knew it sounded familiar. Never actually walked in there
  17. Wow looks like a fun shop and a cool guy! Might have to swing by! I am definitely looking for a walk in point to flash and get tattooed in the same day experience. I like getting custom pieces and going to custom shops but I feel I need that on-the-spot tattoo experience.
  18. So the itch to get tattooed is getting unbearable waiting for my next session and want to pick up something kinda small in the NJ-NYC area. Any good suggestions? I already know Smith Street is awesome but any other suggestions? (also any local artists chime in if you want). I also remember Thicker than Water being mentioned
  19. I can see getting something by accident but he does seem to have a bit too much to be accidental, plus if he wasn't at least somewhat connected wouldn't the people who were make him aware of his error? I can see the cover up for job's sake. Wounder why didn't this guy take the same route?
  20. I'm far from an expert but there seem to be some pretty distinct "gang" tattoos on the guy. 13, "laugh now cry later", Mi vida loca to name some. I could see if they were far from but meh maybe they got some substance. Just playing devil's advocate here.
