  1. like an idiot I will probably watch it. curiosity usually gets the best of me.
  2. With snakes, the more the merrier. Get both, or maybe a couple of each style!
  3. I also push for a no-politics rule. Judging what my facebook news feed looks like, I would rather not continue that trend here. Plus who cares what they said, politicians are professional liars.
  4. ^ This is how I always end up getting more..."but it looks 'weird' all by itself. let me get something next to it". I also agree to send him to Frith Street. Can't go wrong with anyone there! Remember we got fellow LSTers there @Stewart Robson or @Valerie Vargas.
  5. I think you really should go to a shop. You do realize that part of what you are paying for is to have a real live artist draw up whatever your brain can think of. On top of that they will have to "redraw" the tattoo at least once (think they are "drawing" the tattoo on you", otherwise to tracing paper then to your skin). Getting ideas from online is not a bad idea. You can hone in on an idea that you like (for example, looking up a bunch of dragons). You can print out some references to bring to your artist so you can visualize what what you were thinking. Remember images sometimes look killer on paper but you are not a piece of paper. You are an organic, moving, not even close to flat, pre-colored (skin tone) object. Your artist will take all of this into account with your provided reference material to give you a killer tattoo.
  6. Just changed my instagram name. slayer9019
  7. I saw one tattoo there that was from an artist I know of for sure..... I can also attest to the fact that just because the shop is in a hip area doesn't translate to a "hip" tattoo. If they can pay the rent, regardless of how good they are, they can own the shop. Discount tattoos probably help keep them in the black and in the shops. I agree. If the portfolio is fake, how can the average person know that the real tattoo will turn out like shit. While the obviously horrendous tattoos were probably not picked, the just above shit and upwards tattoos were probably picked. I have stated it before, that some people just like the idea of having a tattoo. They don't pay attention to the actual image or quality. They just "want a tattoo".
  8. One of the bigger problems is when people don't know what a good tattoo looks like. There are soooo many shit tattoos out there that people assume that's how they look.
  9. - - - Updated - - - Just looking back at this thread I was surprised to find so many people that listen to Black Metal.
  10. :( nothing cool like this is every on the east coast
  11. I get a nice back to back 2 weekends getting my leg worked on. Can't wait to be unable to sit properly for 2 weeks...joy
  12. At the rate I am going I need all the room I can. Already loosing the surprise factor. My inner arm tattoo is below t-shirt level.
  13. Sorry I couldn't help myself Yea it's been getting a bit crazy for sure. I just hope they reel in the craziness before it turns into Lost.
  14. My other tattooed buddy and I spoke about this. The less we do (within reason) the better off we have been healing. Since I am usually wearing blood-drenched saran wrap I take that shit off asap
  15. Now that is a killer snake! As far as scales vs no-scales, I love em both. In my opinion it gives a very different look to the whole tattoo. I got a scale-less snake and its awesome, when I go for a bigger piece I want to get a scaled cobra somewhere (ribs maybe?)
  16. Lots if shows get annoying but as long as they don't turn into house or lost
  17. You should catch up! It's a pretty good show (with its ups and downs). Worth a watch
  18. Hahah yea the night/day after is usually intense, especially on the legs. Also take some anti-inflamatories. Helps a bit for sure.

    Dexter

So...am I the only one who watches Dexter?
  20. A bit off-and-on topic here. I ran across a great question on some firearms documentation I was filling out (damn you NJ). The question read: List any scars, tattoos or identifying marks: The problem was it was a line about 3 inches long.....So I started a list and continued down the side of the page. This considering I am not heavily tattooed...What do people do that are covered? Answer "Got a shit-ton of tattoos and such", then list one or two favourites.
