A friend and I are heading down there tomorrow, but I think it might be a shit-show. Even if I don't get a free tattoo, I have a session on my arm at 5 anyway so I will be tattooed regardless. Win-win situation! If I do get a SJ tattoo, I will post up a picture for sure

I feel that face tattoos are the last "forbidden" area. I know personally it would be the very very very last place I would put a tattoo. While I cannot comment on whether to deny or accept the requests, I do have to say they are a pretty crazy request in my opinion.

I completely forgot about the "charge per color". I remember when I was younger a guy who worked for my dad got a panther on his back. He said the reason he got a panther was because they charge by color. I never questioned him because he was a scary as fuck dude

You can never dip into the beer fund! On another note, I can understand why this is the "new benchmark" for football tattoos, because I have NEVER seen a good sports-based tattoo in my life (whether online or in person), so this new story is not really saying all that much.

Yea I had a similar feeling about idea behind the event. I am not going to kill myself to get a free tattoo but I might just show up for shits and giggles. (I feel a tip at least close to the cost would be acceptable). Funny thing is I did not see any more advertising for this event outside of the N&S post, so I felt that this community would appreciate it.

Thanks @Ursula! I actually have been to Black Gold a few months back. Surprisingly there wasn't all that much when I was there (I'm sure it was between stocking and such) but they did have quite a few nice LPs, and the ice coffee was good! Also on a side-note, I kind wish there was a self-promo area of the site for everyone to put up the links to their shops/blogs/portfolios, as it is damn hard to dig through everyone's signatures/profiles (we do have a nice mix of artists and non-artists). Please people I don't mind some self promotion here, so post away!
