  1. @Iwar @gougetheeyes @truejew @Perez @Jack and whoever i missed. When are we gunna have a meetup while Iwar is here?
  2. Oh shit, didn't realize your in NYC already. Now the question is....can us New Yorkers actually get a meetup going while your here!
  3. Yea, I kinda saw it coming. His stuff is a bit "intense" as I can best describe it. Another awesome response.
  4. While I still love Paul's tattoos, and once was completely obsessed with getting one, I can say that they are a bit too intense for me now. This along with me picking up the whole "bold will hold" idea.
  5. Let me chime in here for a second. I have been lucky enough to be tattooed by him twice and watch him tattoo 2 very large tattoos on a friend over the last year or so. My opinion is he is very very good and extremely versatile in style. He has nailed it on tattoos over and over again. I will be going back to him until he stops tattooing or I'm covered (probably the later). This being said, to ask is he the best tattooer is a crappy question. He is by far one of the best I have seen (and been tattooed by) but remember there are also other artists. I highly recommend him but remember NYC has tons of talented guys (Invisible has a chunk of them), and to say is so-and-so the best is a bad question. All that said, I say go for it. I know I am signing up for my next tattoo from him (and the biggest to date). If you care to see any really colorful pieces he's done check my gallery.
  6. I know for myself I was due for a break. A year and a half of constant tattooing is a bit much, but I did plan on getting something there. LST is too much inspiration as it is!
  7. Work problems came up that pretty much consumed my weekend. While I was looking forward to getting something done, I guess that will go toward my next tattoo, which will be the biggest so far.
  8. Never seen the show (just googled it). I must now watch this show.
  9. Nobody thinks it makes sense, not even the "fat cat" types, they are just simply in the position to pull it off and lack moral backing. Agreed. When things are run by the government they end up being terrible because government has no competition. With no competition, why would they function properly when just passing for piss-poor performance can suffice with a nearly unlimited flow of tax dollars flowing in (not even going to get into how taxation is technically illegal and the IRS is not a government org and blah blah blah). A great example of no competition/everyone gets a "fair share" is Russia. Talk to anyone who lived in Russia under Soviet control...its was a fuckin mess. The car technology was haggard at best (hell look at Urals...1940s tech that you can still purchase!) and everything was pretty much along the same lines. Also countries where there is universal health care, from what I've been told, you usually opt for private insurance anyway to skip the insane waits. So...back to square 1
  10. CAGE Test Although they say that anything more than 2 drinks a day will qualify you.
  11. While I cannot verify this 100%, but here in the US porn is taboo but violence is accepted, and it has been like this for a long time. Back on topic, I just remembered one of the auto shops I worked in when I was in highschool used to keep a ridiculous amount of porn stacked in the bathroom to keep people from using it (mainly women who bitched about how dirty it was or parents letting kids use the bathroom). Thinking of that, I do think it does kinda keep certain people at bay.
  12. Porn out in open would make me question the shop a bit but I have been in a shop that has porn plastered all over the artist's bathroom. Hell I've been in a few offices that have porn in thebathroom (usually higher exec private bathrooms). If its not in the open then no big deal.
  13. Probably switching my job to be NYC local only soon so I will be down in the near future for a meetup (also any NYC locals with any information on any apartments opening up soon would be key!)
  14. Your post reminded me of this instantly.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XzPBUGUM7KQ
  15. While I am not loud I can admit to the overuse of the word awesome. One thing my german friends pointed out when they lived here was americans lovf to have "friends" and are quick to label people as "friends" while they are really just people they know
  16. This is why I am easing into the "freak look". No need to tattoo up my hands and sya this isn't for me!
  17. After dog watching during the day I will stop by after. When are you going tk be in the area?
  18. Outside of my collection of all black Hanes shirts and death/black metal shirts, I only buy from Shirt and Destroy as they are a bit more "laid back" in look than the in your face tshirts of Sullen. Plus they are in Brooklyn so no shipping!
  19. yea not only would it be a bad tattoo, I am pretty sure I would get a punch in the face by whoever i ask for such a tedious tattoo....all straight lined boxes with insanely small Times New Roman font inside....a tattooers nightmare? Back on topic. I personally like to separate my job from the other aspects of my life. It can be fun at times, but it is really just a "pays the bills" type of deal for me.
  20. I never enjoyed the idea of being covered in excel spreadsheet or code tattoos....maybe a powerpoint slideshow tattoo?
  21. I am surprised they didn't add...."if you think you have the raw talent show up"
