Since I am going to be getting a "leg sleeve" (pant leg, squid pants, etc) tattoo I was wondering if anyone has any tattoos like this. They seem a bit rarer than other tattoo locations (especially in full leg sized).

It breaks my personal 10/10/10 rule. 10 feet away you know what it is 10 seconds you know what it is 10 years it will still look good

Advice for someone who is terrified of needles
slayer9019 replied to Natveggie45's topic in Tattoo Advice
From what it sounds like he is just an attention grabber (biggest, baddest, etc). Make him go by himself and give no attention to the tattoo. -
"...otherwise every gang member would be running around packing a matchlock." That would be a bit weird for sure... 'Give me all your money' as he takes out his power, takes out the ram rod, slowly packing his black power rifle...... Wow, I truly feel sorry for you! Well if you ever feel like heading over "the pond", I'm sure we got a spot for you! Here is a nice little tidbit of "saving the public". Those damn Olympic marksmen are down right dangerous! Advice for someone who is terrified of needles
slayer9019 replied to Natveggie45's topic in Tattoo Advice
I understand that getting tattooed is far from comfortable but seriously... I have felt FAR worse pain and never complained. The only time I could understand tapping out is long hours on uncomfortable areas (ribs, armpit, asscrack, ditch, etc). I would say this guy must have something wrong going on in his head. I know some big sissies that can at least sit for an hour in the chair without whining. If it's a serious anxiety problem well I can feel for that from personal experience but if that's the case meds would probably be the only option. -
Advice for someone who is terrified of needles

Tell him to man up. Haha. Assuming he isn't overly sensitive to pain (assuming nother since he plays contact sports) I would say it anxiety. Some people freak out at the idea of getting stabbed repetitively for hours on end (weirdos). If it's anxiety he has to be able to calm down himself and I do t know much you can do to help. If it's pain then there are creams than can dull the pain pretty good. -
Yea NJ is bad :( although we can have up to 15 otherwise it is "scary". The hollowpoint rule is kinda of moot since actually acquiring a CCW is a joke and impossible to get. I keep hollowpoints or frangibles at home.

I usually catch a lot of inspiration from just browsing through the site. So many members here are getting killer tattoos. I have gotten a ton of recommendations of good artists as well!

Glad you have been enjoying LST! Welcome

Yea noticed this as well. Starting to see a pickup in dot tattoos.

Nice collection covering a good portion of the basics. Never really heard of AR hate out there, but I guess it's not for everyone. After messing around with my buddies Saiga I might pick one up (AKs are illegal in NJ). Also I think the .38spl is an underrated round for sure. Lucky for you, you live in the most gun-lax states in the world! OC/CC with no permit, lucky!

I think everything becomes "trendy" at one time or another.

Sadly I find more "Christians" acting unlike Christ than like him.

A 17 for CC when you got a LCR 38? The full glocks always seems a bit big for CC at least to me. Personally I would check out those featherweight hammerless S&W revolvers. or...one of these bad boys black snub colt 45 Which 1911 do you got? I am still undecided which to get... Too many damn options!

hahaha like I said I am the "heavily tatttooed" guy. They at most have a few (3 tops) scattered words or similar. There is exactly 10 of us so not THAT many people to keep track of. I know lettering style stuff was thrown around and similar ideas as well. At this point I'm pretty much down for whatever. If it's small I can jam it somewhere, but it has to be pretty cool. I will probably be the judge on the final design being I am the most tattooed. I know there are a few that are tattoo virgins, but they seem pretty on-board for the idea.

I forgot to add I'm jc9019 in instagram world

Probably adding a proper 1911 to my collection. One of the best guns in my opinion but pricey

Being someone that has been on the hiring side, tattoos or not you are at the mercy of the other person's prejudices and opinions. Between me talking with other hiring personnel and thinking about candidates, I can say I've caught some weird prejudices about people during hiring. Although sometimes what is accepted as a normally good trait, sometimes can but a negative. In my sister's field someone that comes off as more bubbly and "creative" (whatever that means) will get picked over a stiff in a suit, but the opposite is in my field. Crew cut hair and expensive suits rule my world.

This is my thought process exactly!

In my non-artist opinion I would say it seems that awesome bold tattoos look harder to make perfect than a realistic piece since with a flow-y realistic design flaws can be hidden in the details, while a simple bold design has no places to hide such flaws. Plus old traditional tattoos age like wine! I'm looking forward to my tattoos getting settled in.

Cool looking tattoos! Welcome to LST.

My recently married in aunt is Russian (lived there through the Soviet Union, until the 2000s). She gave me her look of disapproval. Although I find it funny for her to judge me on my tattoos since she has at least 1 gold tooth.
