...when the bar and burger joint next to the shop knows you as a regular and makes your usual before you sit down. Seriously it is getting ridiculous

I got a lady head, and I'm probably gunna get more. I also got a skull or two and probably are going to get more. As long as you like it get it. If I am remembering correctly @jade1955's wife has got a sleeve of lady heads.

You're welcome  - - - Updated - - - You're welcome  I'm not gunna lie I have a seriously uncanny ability to cause people to spend large sums of money quickly with minimal interaction. Today alone I have got 2 other people to purchase entire shaving setups. I really don't try I swear!

Hahahaha really that is too damn funny. I've seen this before in articles. They make a huge claim then towards the end they point out they completely made up that very important fact that the entire article is based on. I think this is terrible journalism since most people never read very far (even past the headline and first paragraph is a lot). This is how rumors and disinformation gets spread.

Yea the startup cost is high but damn these things last (and hold their value unlike electrics or disposables). I got an Art of Shaving actually pretty close to my house that I am going to swing by. I keep hearing their sandalwood stuff is pretty nice. @heathenist yea straight razor in the shower doesn't seem like a good idea! I might order a straight off that site you linked though.

Which shavette are you using? I head the Parker is the best while the others are kinda too floppy and get you cut up.

Hey everyone, hopefully looking for some artistic insight
slayer9019 replied to tattoodan's topic in Initiation
While I am not exactly the most artistic person you will find, I do think you gotta double check your plans if you are going to add like you want. In my opinion if you want to turn what you have into a sleeve it would be best not to add the shadowing around the letters because it would be harder to add around it without looking out of place. Beat and easiest iPhone jailbrake....buying an Android :D. In all seriousness I suggest cheching out the nexus or galaxy line phones. Everyone I know has switched to androids (pretty much all have galaxy s3s)

I'm glad to know I'm not then only guy here that is having a mental brakedow.....I mean has a new hobby. I am personally waiting until I feel a bit more comfortable with the DE before I go for the straight edge. At which point I am eyeing up a fancy dovo but I gotta take this one step at a time. Startup cost is a bit much. Also anyone here check out the store the art of shaving?

Thought I'd see if there was any shared interest in my new in straight razors and double edge safety razors. I personally like it better than the regular razors and it is hellva lot cheaper when you shave your face everyday and your entire one leg every other week to get tattooed/drawn on. I know my father got a kick out of it as he grew up on them and "moved off of the ancient technology" Anyone else use em?

In this thread, we commiserate about healing our fresh tattoos.
slayer9019 replied to Pugilist's topic in Tattoo After Care
Is it weird that I kinda miss healing tattoos? First time in about 2 years I haven't had a big patch of fresh healing tattooed skin. I'm just working through some outlining of clouds and lightning all over my thigh -
Fresh tattoo shading looking brown is normal, right?
slayer9019 replied to spyro's topic in Tattoo Advice
My general rule of thumb is this: Tattoos change a bunch from the second you get it till about a month or so later when they "settle" so don't rush to judgements right away. When in doubt go to the person who put it on you, they will know best. Also, please post in the correct section of the forum. -
Good places to eat and drink around tattoo shops?
slayer9019 replied to Graeme's topic in Random Crap
It has been my go-to bar since it opened. Hell when you stop in you might even see me there! -
Good places to eat and drink around tattoo shops?
slayer9019 replied to Graeme's topic in Random Crap
Invisible NYC/Daredevil Food: Mikey's Burgers is the spot I usually hit up for an awesome burger. Old style greasy-spoon burger joint with as confirmed by my coworker the best burger in NYC. Drink: Top Hops is the place I always go to as part of my "tattoo ritual". 700+ beers 24 taps of amazing beer served by true beer nuts. Also pretty cool vibes from the place. -
Yea I actually posted that in the http://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/forum/random-crap/2040-any-metalheads-out-there-page18.html#post62733 thread. Pretty cool stuff.

Areas of your body you WON'T tattoo
slayer9019 replied to Ursula's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Well I do have to say that the Maori people tattoo their lips as part of their face tattoos which I think look pretty cool. I actually think the eyeball tattoos look interesting but I don't really classify them as tattoos really. Also add the fact they are unproven and 100% permanent makes them not so appealing. -
Ever been called a tattoo snob?
slayer9019 replied to lving4today's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
I might have stated this before but in my opinion there is a big difference between a snob and someone who knows what is good and wants the best. I'm into cigars and in that world there are tons of snobs. You can pick them out since all they do is talk about the most expensive or in style brands and think the lesser know or cheaper and worse. Same goes for anything else, tattoos included. I also stand by there is a time to be polite but also there is a time to not reinforce bad behaviors. If people keep telling the wearers of shit tattoos that they are good, they will never look elsewhere. -
Hey Rob! also...since I know you, get a black metal tattoo by Uncle Allen or Jef Whitehead.
