  1. We share a similar dream car (ahem Jeep). Get a hard top since your in JC!
  2. I normally try to write out longer posts in response to stuff but I will leave it at this. Skip it, not worth the time.
  3. Damn nice heads up! I might swing by after work as I work right over in the Financial District.
  4. I'm a vocalist primarily, but mess around with drums and bass.
  5. Whattt! Dude you can't just what the hell a piece like that Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
  6. If you are in the area I would check out invisible NYC. I mean I might be a bit biased since this is "my shop" but there is a plethora of good artists here. You have regino, matt, kiku, Chris garver, etc all under one roof! Tattoo artists are there to help turn your ideas into tattoos and put em on! Sent from my SGH-T999 using Tapatalk 2
  7. Yea right now we are just messing around with stuff. I've written a ton of stuff and recorded some stuff but now I finally have a real guitarist! Makes a hellva difference
  8. Yea agreed. The 90's BM sound in my opinion should really stay in the 90's. The super lo-fi, blast-beat, tremolo stuff that people like Darkthone put out has been a bit played out. That's why I'm glad bands like the above are expanding the sub-genre a bit. Good post! Now for me to post up some tunes.
  9. Looks like it's official. Starting a black metal band with a good friend. Finally!
  10. While I am always all about going to the guy who is the trend setter and original I can say that after a 3 year wait on the list I still haven't even gotten a consultation. It seems he really isn't taking new clients at least in my experience. It doesn't hurt though to reach out and try your luck. He is a very nice guy to deal with even though I gave up. 11. The question of pain in relation to getting tattoo comes up quite often. In my experience how much something hurts is really subjective. I think it really comes down to a baseline to what you have experienced. By the time I got my first tattoo I have experienced a ton more pain than any tattooer could dish out. Cracked half my front teeth out, multiple concussions, broken fingers, cracked collarbone, broken feet, etc. At that point a tattoo needle just really isn't that bad. That being said, people know generally have a similar idea which areas hurt worse but nobody can tell you how much it will hurt.
  12. ....when you don't get asked for a deposit at the shop because your such a regular.
  13. Moved to the correct sub-forum
  14. You bring the tattoo to show off, I'll provide the BBQ.
  15. I do have to say I did show this to people at my BBQ today. I really like it. (Yea they did call me a tattoo nerd for sitting on my phone on LST).
  16. I have no real preference, really depends on my mood as they are all quite different. Right now I am celebrating this weekend tapping into my Tomatin 30 Year Old. Rare for me to touch that stuff! My daily scotches are usually Talisker 10 or Johnny Black (yea yea I know its a blend). Hey you always have to remember to celebrate the small victories. I get reminded of that way to often these days.
  17. I had a hellva weekend, sad it is over. Date on Friday, Saturday was BBQing/drinking all day, then followed by a late night session at Invisible to finish the background on my leg and get a session set up with Matt to get my knee done, Sunday was wake up to black metal and black coffee followed by oh so much more BBQing and drinking. Finishing off today with heavy doses of metal and a smooth single-malt scotch.
  18. Personally I like the "classic tattoos" aka very much repeated tattoos. I got a skull with a snake and dagger. The only time I find an image "played out" is when it wasn't a good image to begin with. Fuck it get what you want and give the finger to the people who rag on you.
