i think some of the things that should be addressed are the real basics, such as this forum isn't here to be a substitute for an artist. it's unrealistic for us to give anyone a quote or tell them how long something will take, as both of those are dependent on the design and the artist. also, having links to all the individual threads on the different types/styles of tattoos(lady heads, rose morphs, black work, etc.) would be handy. also, why we won't answer certain questions (like how to build a machine) and why they may come off as offensive to some.
i'm sure i'll come up with more stuff, but this is a start.

i was serious about my suggestion for a read me first page (or sticky?), that would be an easy resource for newcomers (or even regulars) as to when they have a question that can easily be answered within or outside of this forum. i'm willing to write it up, and that way, rather than bickering back and forth with someone who is new, we can simply just link them to the page if they have a question that can already be answered.

so if you only tattoo on what you can see, then you don't have tattoos on the back of your arms, or legs i assume too?

Cuts happen in the kitchen on random mornings, just show up between 8 and 9. Color is done in the evening, best in front of Dexter, and involves lots of grumbling and god-dammits. Send him your hair reference via email asap.
i really want to see this.

could you imagine being tattooed by one of these? winding them up every minute or so would be such a pain!

Nothing wrong with granola or muesli. My favourite ones are made by Dorset Cereals.
Don't know if you can get them were you are.
i've never seen it. i usually get the lo-fat vanilla almond from trader joe's. it's simple but good!

this trend has been going on for years in the US. welcome to the unfortunate state of tattooing.

the last best vegan breakfast i had was either at Sweet Pea Baking Company in Portland (next to Scapegoat Tattoo) or the Wayward Cafe in Seattle. my favorite local vegan breakfast spot may be closing soon (though Donut Farm is a close second).

Since my tattoo artist is currently on vacation I will ask everyone here.
My tattoo is still very itchy sometimes. It just hit the 2 week mark and am not sure if it is even healed yet. (I read the other thread about leg tattoos possibly taking longer.) Is it normal for the tattoo to stay very itchy after two weeks? I was just wondering if there is a possibility that I am allergic (however rare) to the ink, since this is my first tattoo, although I could just be bitching without cause.
i've had tattoos take 6 weeks to heal. it all depends on your skin, diet, health, etc. this doesn't sound out of place.

i watched it again last night with Jackson and i have to admit, i actually got a bit teary eyed. i know it sounds corny, but it's just sooo good, and so relieving to see after all the other shit that has exploited this craft.

I've been on a Hubert Selby Jr. spree since I was 14. Ive read everything 5 times over. Im re-reading "Last Exit to Brooklyn" again now.
Before that it was "Roughing It" by Twain.
Selby Jr. is still one of my top 3 favorite authors. there's a pretty decent documentary on him that you should check out D.
currently, i'm reading Diane Ackerman's A Natural History of the Senses. i read part of it my freshman year in college in an english class, and picked up a copy a few years ago, but haven't had a chance to read it until now. i just finished Barbara Ehrenreich's Nickeled and Dimed in preparation for getting laid off. it's a great book!

can i just say that i had a smile on my face the whole time, and dare i say that i kind of liked it more that tattoo age? i guess it's hard to tell since there's only been one 12 minute episode of tattoo age, and this was 31, but it encompassed so much of tattooing that i love, at least from a customer's stand point. i felt inspired after watching it. coincidental that Jackson and i may be going to New York by the end of the year, now i have to decide is it worth it to sell my car to get tattooed while i'm there (because there's so many artists that i love!), or do i want to not get tattooed to go to new zealand. it's a honest to god deciding factor, and it may sounds stupid to some, but god damn i'll miss getting tattooed if i leave here. it's one of the main points for wanting to stay.

of course i'm in love with it in the first 30 seconds haha. as soon as i heard ben nichols voice, i'm in.
