    i really want the Prajnaparamitta on my back (not the text, but the personified version). i'm involved with a Buddhist organization that is trying to help a few nuns set up a monastery here in California, and they have a statue of her that a fellow monk made for them and i love it. obviously, it would be representative of buddhism and wisdom, but in a way, it would be representative of these Sisters and what they have taught me and how they have deepened my practice and my heart. alright, i'll stop there before i start getting more corny.

    i would be lying if i didn't say i was jealous. he's got a point, that the hair industry is aimed toward women, but there are some of us who are turned off by the whole spa and salon aspect. i really don't want to go spend a couple of hours in a chair while i listen to shitty music and have some "stylist" put product in my hair which i already requested not to have done and then pay over a $100 for a haircut that's just ok. i'd rather go to a place that cares about quality, but is also ready to just get down to business and cut my hair. can you tell i'm bitter now that the girl who used to cut my hair moved away? maggie was the best. we just talked about tattoos and i got a great haircut for $40 (plus $10 for tip).

    i think what i love about that panther is the fact that it reminds of murals made in the 1930's. like the one's by the WPA but obviously different subject matter.

    they do! and in the financial district supposedly? i haven't been to that one. i've never used the falafel mix at home, mainly because i'm lazy and only like falafels when i'm in the mood, but some day i too will have to try that.

    i haven't been to Moaz yet, though i've heard nothing but good things from the blog-o-sphere about them. personally, my favorite falafel comes from Sunrise Deli on Bancroft across from campus. if you get the combo falafel, you get potatoes, tomatoes, and eggplant in it. bonus, you can add avocado. best falafel ever.

    honestly, i don't think she's dead. i feel like that's such a big part of the show. then again, i guess she's also on Mad Men (or has been? i don't know, i don't watch the show) so maybe she's gotten a bigger role there?

    do you think there's that many tattoo artists out there? i feel like there's a lot of tattoo artists that make up that one percent, but maybe my judgement is off...
