As cynical as I am...even I am amazed at the irresponsibility of this TV "show". wtf...really?

I play guitar and this is the reaction people get when they post on the guitar boards I frequent and ask about Guitar Hero or Rockband or those "Become a Guitar God in a Week" dvds...Most of those people get it after the first negative response...just sayin.

The way I see it as at least he called you. I think that shows that he cares about giving you what you want.

I would also like to recommend Marion Street Tattoo in Denver. Ryan Willard and Patrick Shackley previously worked at Th'ink Tank, and they both do great work (as does the other artist, Jenny Lee).

I had 3 hours of work done on my half sleeve yesterday...mostly black/gray work done. Ryan Willard is doing it here in Denver. Mostly he did the back of my arm and damn, that hurt like hell. Especially around the armpit...but its looking pretty nice!

Mine was in '86. I was in the Army and 2 of my friends and I went to the closest shop to our base in Hawaii and picked a piece from the wall...I've mentioned this before, but I wanted a tattoo because my dad had one from being in the service (his was a lot cooler, a black panther head done in 1957 in Japan). I don't paticularly like it. I don't really hate it either. I wish it wasn't where it is...its in the middle of some prime real estate! I will probably cover it next year with a half sleeve...but maybe not. I thought about leaving it there and putting it between an eagles wings or something similar. I would kind of like to NOT cover my first one...

You are just being smart, not ridiculous at all!

I TOTALLY understand your concern...I'm 44...hadn't been tattooed since I was 19 or 20...shops are completely different now...you shouldn't have any worries in a known shop with a good reputation.

Jebus...I've been to churches that have less strict rules...fuck that place.

I was stationed at Ft Sill in Lawton, OK in the mid 80's...if you wanted a tattoo you drove to Wichita Falls, TX...I just waited til I got to my permanent base in Hawaii. That was my first shop experience I can remember (Hawaii). I got tattooed in a little shop that probably did 90% military guys right outside of Schofield Barracks in a town called Wahiawa in 1986. I just remember going through the flash with a couple of my friends and we all got something done that night. We were totally sober, but it all seemed like it happened really fast and I dont remember the name of the shop, or who tattooed me. I do remember really enjoying it and I couldnt wait to go back and get another one.

At first I thought the OP was going overboard then I thought about my own plans...I have 2 small tattoos from about 25 years ago. I started a half sleeve a week ago, have plans to have a pather head put on my calf when I am done, followed by a forearm tat and then a half sleeve for my other arm inside 6 months so...you sound like you are on the same schedule as me pretty much, lol!

Tattoo Cover Up Pictures, Before and After
cfgsteak replied to Lochlan's topic in Tattoo Removal or Coverup
Ok...I'm having one done right now...I had this taz done when I was 18... This is the first stage of the cover up started last Monday: The next appointment is the 25th of this month. I hated that taz. I'm glad it will be covered.- 104 replies

Literary Tattoos, pt. 1, Cormac McCarthy
cfgsteak commented on gougetheeyes's blog entry in Blog gougetheeyes
I'm a big fan of McCarthy. Great blog. McCarthy is the most "tattoo worthy" author since Hemmingway (IMO of course). -

Not a tattooer...but I work bent over a computer 8 to 10 hours a day... this was my intro to yoga (P90X)...it cured my Plantar Fasciitis completely. I literally couldnt walk in the mornings my heels would hurt so bad...after 5 months of yoga the pain is completely GONE. Its done great stuff for my back...i'm older (44), its made a huge difference in my quality of life.

Thanks Dan. I appreciate your input...here's what happened... My original request was causing me too lose sleep I was so concerned about it. I went in yesterday for a second consultation...explained my concern and decided to have the other arm done first. I have a terrible tattoo he is covering on my left (a taz from the mid 80's). My artist was cool with that and seemed much more excited about the design I was interested in for my left arm. He was appreciative that I came in again instead of waiting until my appt Monday to change my mind. The shop I am going to host "alternative" art shows...I know my guy drinks and even if he didnt like what I brought in they would serve it at a show. He told me the bottle of tequila was unnecessary but very much appreciated. And I will be cash tipping for my actual appointments...I just didn't want to seem like I didn't appreciate that he would need to draw something else up. I feel soooooo much better. My wife is a hair dresser and I understand the importance of tipping!
