  1. The only thing I do is try to use space efficiently. Make sure the tattoo you get on the back of that arm buts up close to where your first two meet and make sure the tattoo sits where you want it and takes up the space nicely without leaving an awkward blank spot too small for a tattoo. Don't take this advice as gospel, but if you convey to your tattooer or tattooers your concern they should work with you. Sometimes it might mean adding background to fill up a space, or suggesting a spot that better fits the tattoo and leaves you with more tattooable space. - - - Updated - - - Who did your newest tattoo BTW.
  2. I am going to have to fact check your story by watching sons of anarchy, and this time the whole series not just the episode with Freddy Corbin. Dan, I think the assumptions people make about MC are the same ones they make about tattoo shops in general. I would be lying if I said I didn't know a few of each that deal in some shady business, but that can be said for most groups, clubs, occupations, gangs, or however anyone wants to categorize people. Bottom line is extortion, intimidation, hand breaking, burning down shops doesn't happen in the US anymore by anyone.
  3. I think it depends on what you are looking for. If you want to accumulate a bunch of tattoos from different tattooers and plan on getting tattoos as long as you have blank space, then I wouldn't worry as you get more tattoos things will start to blend together. However if you are more concerned with all the tattoos on your arm looking the same and flowing together, then i would try to plan out the rest of your arm with one tattooer. The best tattooed arms i see are the ones that just have random tattoos here and there and enough blank skin so you can make out each individual tattoo.
  4. Think about when people run for political office, they try to associate you with everyone you ever had a conversation with. Plus plenty of people in Bike Clubs have jobs and some of them are bound to be tattooers or oddly enough get tattooed by a tattooer, but yeah some sort of intercontinental conspiracy seems far fetched.
  5. I thought you just say his name 3 times and he shows up for a guest spot in your city.
  6. Dude just really doesn't know what he is talking about, probably has been misinformed by people when he asks questions, and just uses that misinformation to form his own conclusions. His view of tattooing is one who has too much exposure to it on the internet and probably not enough time around actual tattooers. The fabricated facebook drama and stories of photo shop fraud that most people just ignore are the biggest problem with tattooing? I have a whole rant in my head about realistic tattooing, but I don't want to seem like I don't like it or respect it, but just don't think it's any fancier or more creative than any other style. In a genre where a lot of the work is exact reproduction of images(some of them copyrighted) it's hard for me to listen to someone complain about being copied. Of course your realistic color portrait of Michael Keaton as Batman looks the same as the next guy, you used the same image as reference, and if it didnt look the same, I would be worried. On the other hand, I caught someone in the traditional realm rant the other week about someone ripping off their commisioned tattoo drawing that they posted on every social media site out there weeks before they tattooed it, not to mention the image was of a very famous cartoon character. Meanwhile the best tattooers in the world keep putting out amazing work and don't have time to deal with such nonsense.
  7. I can see some points in there, or at least can understand the perspective that someone would have to write this article, but I can't say I agree with much of it.
  8. You do find some good stuff and people do wear it more, but now that people know what's what you have to buy stuff at vintage stores instead of thrift stores, which is obviously a lot more expensive.
  9. Thanks for the suggestions. I have asked a couple friends suggestions, but really have just been to lazy to seek out getting fixed, which is silly cause this is the weather I should be wearing Pendletons in.
  10. Yeah I need to seek one out for sure, think I know a couple spots to look. It's a pretty cool shirt western cut, with pearl snaps down front.
  11. There is a shit ton, I almost won a pretty cool tartan plaid vintage one just now, but lost track of time and got outbid. @YOMONEY I know the place and yeah too much good stuff, got to stay out of there.
  12. Have plenty versions of the designs redrawn on sheets that we painted on the shop walls. The only issue I would say I have is when people have a shop full of magazine bought flash prints and none that they painted themselves in their shop.
  13. My favorite pendelton just developed a rip in the sleeve. I have never bought a new pendleton, always got them second hand, ebay, hand me down and have never bought one that wasn't made in America. There is a Pendleton Store in the Airport here, they have everything, but yeah it's like 115 for a shirt, but as they discontinue a pattern they get marked down to 85. I am debating buying a new one, but going to see what I can find second hand.
  14. Can't compromise your secret agent status, I dig it.
  15. Matt Diehl at Mid Pacific Tattoo In Lahanai (not sure of spelling)
  16. Have never been to Ink N Iron, but i imagine cause of the amount of things going on it could sell out. I would buy the tickets, I doubt you would have any problem selling them if you didnt need them
  17. I am mistersenorflores and shop is acmetattooco
  18. @losParanoyas great tattoo, I stared at it on Instagram for a considerable amount of time. I would be stoked to have a backpiece like that. - - - Updated - - - @else what is your IG handle? Am I following you yet? Edit: I found you.
  19. We are all one face tattoo away from a lucrative modeling career. I kind of like this thread, gives me something besides an avatar to associate people with.
  20. I think American Traditional is a whole nother can of worms, but yeah I would say their is a little more latitude to what can be considered an American traditional tattoo on the surface, but I think many people have just as strong ideas about what should or should not be in a traditional tattoo.
  21. You mean you're not Bryan Burk? - - - Updated - - - Here is a mini photo montage of me.
  22. Yeah not sure who they are, Watched every episode of Inkmaster and still came up with nothing.
  23. I definetly subscribe to that school of thought as it has been hammered in to my head. If you are going to do script why not just make it fancy script with no banner instead. I have seen people just make a really wide banner so all the lettering fits in, but then you have all this unneccesary blank space in the banner, which makes no sense to me. It may be that I have always been taught one way, that anything different looks weird and wrong to my eye.
