Maleficent

It feels silly to start a new post just for me, but hey. I've had one tattoo for seven years, and the artist was really good, and at first the tattoo looked really awesome, I've had a major problem. Nothing to do with the artist, mind (he had almost 40 years of experience and was highly recommended). But after 7 years of very little sun, proper care when I got it, and all that jazz, my tattoo looks like a faded watercolour instead of the vibrant photo-realistic rose that it started out as. My question is if I'm just a freak of nature (permanent hair dye washes out with in a month)? Even now I get pimples that occur on the site and when they come off, there's ink in them.
