Thanks man! Luckily I got the night after off (back at it tonight), so I got my nine hours and enjoyed a lazy morning with my dog. It was a lot of fun to pick his brain while he worked. "Whispering" Danny, the owner of both Exile and it's partner shop next door walked by and was complimenting Nathan on the line work. Had an old biker say it was rad and one of the other artists say "Holy shit man, is this your first?!" haha. I posted pics in the lowdown board, they're also in my gallery. Definitely gonna milk it for two days next time though, I enjoy having an excuse to pit my feet up and veg out!

Awesome! That is going to be amazing. Glad you got a couple of nights off and were able to take it easy. How is it feeling today? When do you have your next session?

I'm very self-conscious of my body, especially without a shirt. My artist is very professional. Any good artist should be. By my third session on my chest I was completely at ease and enjoyed the session.

Earlier today two people called me sir. Now an older cat. Time for a cocktail.

this is the tattoo that I want to continue. I'd like to begin with extending down my arm from the compass then add some to my chest. I'd like to have a little more poking out when my shirt collar is unbuttoned.

My next project is to extend my tattoo down my right arm.

I have been thinking about getting a tattoo for about 15 years. As I was approaching my 50th birthday I got my first small tattoo on my chest. And I mean small. I got my second tattoo on my right forearm about two months later. This one is based on the Fibonacci sequence. Since then I have gotten a larger tattoo on the other side of my chest that goes up my shoulder and continues a little down my arm. Last week I got my fourth on my calf. ( yes, a whole different healing process)

Each of these tattoos holds a very personal story for me along with a little bit of "just because." I don't know why I waited so long to get my first. Maybe it was because of the big 5-0. Maybe it was just because. I do know that I am looking forward to continuing this journey.
