Robin I am so glad you and your family are safe, Iwar and the rest of us were concerned for your well being. This kind of senselessness is infuriating.

yesterday in my town a woman was found with 4 healthy children and one locked in a closet she is 5yr old weighs 19 lbs and was defacating in a cup. When the mother was asked WTF!? she said the girl looked like her father and she hated the man so she locked her away. love your loved ones even more for all the fucked up shit that is going on in our world. Glad you are safe

i know what you mean, when I got here I did not know who tim hendricks, thomas hooper or James spencer briggs were. Now I would pretty much tell them what idea I had and let them run with it. 15 years ago I would have thought "I want a cross wonder which of my buddies could use a guitar string and put it there" just saw ursalas post spot on

I have been tattooed over surgery and razor blade cut scars on my arms and back and they were fine. I am looking at one on my arm and see the scar but the ink took fine

I guess you could look at this several different ways. Tattoos are mainstream, more and more people are interested in getting them or are atleast accepting of them. A tattooer faces different challenges in that alot of people who just want to cash in on popularity get into the business. I assume some ill informed people fall into good work, and with the insurgence of tattoo parlors surely a percentage of these people will go into a shop and get work by artists who are not up to par. I would have fallen into this catagory as I was tattooed underage and have nver been tattooed in a shop. When a market is oversaturated and the customer is uneducated in the product mistakes on their part will be made and good artists will potentially tattoo less in the short run. I would like to think that the old saying "the cream rises to the top" applies here.

just got another laser treatment. I timed it at 40 minutes. I will take another picture after it heals

thanks guys, I am genuinely excited and actually think LST has saved my tattooed self. I have always been drawn towards tattoos but like many my ignorance towards the matter left me in uncapable hands. Without you guys I would have already covered my covered tattooes and have been done with it. This site has been the driving force in my appreciation of art.

Swimming with a new tattoo: How long do you wait?
Scott R replied to Kev's topic in Tattoo After Care
Kev I feel you man, its so hot here people are selling their cattle cause there is no grass and we are on water rations. I remember finding some info on your question. Is it fresh water or pool? I remember an Australain or New Zealand artist found his clients getting infections due to microorganisms in the ocean off a certain beach. I would say chlorine or clorinated pools, hottubs etc would tend to degrade(bleach?) ink in a tattoo that wasnt healed. Is it healed?? -

Man all three of these artists are beasts in their on right. Hooper I knew about but was pleased to be educated by viginia and marcus and what they bring to the table- 197 replies
