$20 minimums next door!?!?!?!? wtf!
Scott R replied to jake bevil's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
plenty of business models discuss how you can raise your price and loose customers and still make more money. If your product is superior never lower the price -
thanks lochlan, Left shoulder is a cross with memorial right shoulder initials and clover the middle piece covers name of street I grew up in San Antonio. Hindsight I could have gone way smaller to cover and in reality I just needed to cover the middle of my back but I will be happier with proffesionally done work.

Clashing of different style
Scott R replied to slayer9019's topic in Tattoo Designs, Books and Flash
I am begining to think of it as a map with connections but no two places are the same. I first thought I would be all black and grey and still may, but now I am open to splashes of color and different styles. I have seen a few geisha masks recently that make me want to get one(loosely based of a picture of my daughter). The japanese stuff while spectacular is not my style. This however would be a meaningful piece to me and when its all said and done thats what matters, not if youve conformed to one style or theme for all of your tattoos. -
kirkson, cool and thank you. I can imagine they are very busy and will continue the effort.

seek, I have been trying for a month to get in touch with an artist at memoir tattoo in LA. I was hoping to hear something even if it was just letting me know they were booked through the year and try back later but not getting discouraged yet. I hope you have an awsome time and take lots of pictures

food is my passion, eating it anyway and In a college town like norman we have some good stuff. tarahumaras-great tex mex fast service. when I first started going here the owner waited tables. Now he has purchased homes nearby to expand his parking lot. Its a no frills place with good drink(from what I hear) and great food. Its lined with big screen tvs with random sports and about every other tv is a live feed to the kitchen. victorias- great pasta shop with homeade gravy and noodles. cajun king- katrina outkasts started in NW okc and expanded to norman. Its a cajun buffet with all the trimmings and instead of bread coming to your table for refills its the best catfish I have ever had. we also have good pho shops and IMO really good thai noodle shops. I want to open a PHo shop for my Mother in law someday.

The end of an apprentice - sacking your mentor.
Scott R replied to Bubbleberry's topic in Crazy Tattoo Stories
I havnt been a member long, but as a non tattooer it upsets me that some of the artists are posting less because of us. I and most from what I can tell are grateful to be on this site with awesome artists and have no intention on doing anything other than getting good tattoos from good artists. I dont want to market anything or make money. I want to learn more so I am in position to get some great work and share it with the place that is getting me on the right path. -

Some may no The midwest is in a drought. My city is rationing water and I can only water on odd days excluding wed and thurs. That means this week I could only water monday and friday. Everything is burning up in the 100+ temps. Needless to say I have been watering illegally but that has only kept some of my plants alive. My bell peppers are burning daily, chili peper is doing ok but blueberry plant may not make it and strawberry plants are ok but not producing anymore :(
