    I just did 7 hours on Monday and my standard must have items are a six pack of iced tea and some trail mix. A hearty breakfast beforehand.

    Wow, the itching is intense on this one, I guess because I got such a big area covered all in one day. This is the first tattoo I have not been able to care for all by myself, and am pleasantly surprised at how much of a bonding experience it has been to have my husband help me.

    You guys are so kind. I used to be a body builder in my 20s and just cannot get used to the way my 40s look on me.

    Ha, thanks. No color, just black and grey shading. Lots more to do with it. I went to the black and grey master, so hopefully it will finish up photorealistic. It's funny, I showed my back at the start of the session and the only reaction was "lookit all that white skin!" It was a relief for sure.

    Thanks everyone. You are so kind and loving. It really got me through the last few days. My artist and the others in the shop were truly professional and no one made fun of my curves and rolls. I am now looking forward to going back and perfecting this giant tattoo!

    Ok, this is my fat back after 7 hours. It is just roughed in and needs a lot of work still, but it's a great start! Go big or go home.

    tough one. I would say you could have the tree be a submerged branch in the water but do I see a bird in there? You could cover the bird somehow I suppose

    Thanks guys. Your compassion and empathy is a great comfort. My artist is an experienced pro, but having never met him I am imagining the worst. Hoping for the best with your support.

    Omg panicking about my back session Monday. Looking at my fat back in the mirror and crying. Wishing it away isn't working so I'm just gonna have to meet this head on.

    Packing tomorrow, driving sunday, getting my back done monday!

    Dealing with grief and clearing out two hoard houses a 5 hour roundtrip away is taking its toll. My bosses are not giving me any slack and quitting my job is coming to mind more often than usual. Grieving at work is touchy and my vacation time is almost exhausted for the year already. Trying not to make any rash decisions but man oh man.

    I'm an author, and the title of one of my books was deliberately mispelled by the publishers to aid and n searchability. Funny story.
