You could get a test tattoo...something small and simple....if really worried. I had a roommate 25 years ago who did have a bad reaction and a test would have spared her the troubles.

I have the same problem with piercings but no trouble with tattoos

I currently have a half sleeve (upper) on the left, and am planning a Japanese koi piece for my right. I was toying with the idea of going for the full sleeve instead of half for this one. Anything I should consider in making this choice beyond the obvious ones of cost and coverability? I know near the elbow sucked on my half so I am a little wary on that. I am interested in your thoughts and experiences. I am a gal, if that matters. My forearms have very light blonde hair if that is a consideration too....

Agreed. Odd and discouraging that someone would make judgements on that basis. I know it happens, but damn it burns to see it in writing.

I recently had a psych workup and had a look at the notes. One of the checklist items was "visible tattoos" This kinda ticks me off.....is this a standard psych profile item? Any psych students or pros here? What is this supposed to signify?
