If eye rolling means upset in your world, no wonder you are so jacked up dude.
-
I am not upset, get over yourself.

Sorry, the black and grey realism guy I use is apparently a prima donna so....

My back healed completely in 10 days. My leg is 2 weeks out and still in a brutal peel.

Oh dear, have I been repeating myself? Sorry [emoji45]

I once was at a party and approached a local tattoo artist with the intention of asking if she was interested in doing my next piece. She asked to see my tattoo, which I was aware was lame as I was just starting out. When she saw it, she turned around and walked away without saying a word. I was pretty bummed. Later when she did my sleeve I mentioned to her what had happened years before and made the point that everyone has to start somewhere.

The sharpies sound like a nice idea since they are useful and hard to find as you say. I would plan to cash tip on top though.....i have given a gift once but my standard large tip was also offered and accepted at the same time. My gift was maple syrup, since I live where it is made and cheaply available but costs a fortune where the tattoo was done.

Love that bee!

Today I felt like puking for the first time. It wasn't pain though, it was from drinking and then lying back down on my right side all twisted. Boy that did not feel good for a couple of hours.

Just got to the hotel from the studio. Planning to add to sleeve out the calf. Looking for ideas. Shane O'Neill at Infamous Tattoo. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

The body pain from laying all twisted is godawful! About 5 or 6 hours in now. Hitting the iced tea and trail mix now. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk -

Nice one! I am also going for the outer calf. I would like a skull and some maple leaves. We are going to see what we can accomplish in one day so it may not turn into a sleeve unless I make another trip. I have been working with this artist on my back tattoo for a couple of years now but this was my last planned trip (8 hour drive). I leave in the morning! I decided on a barn owl because they are nocturnal and symbolize secrets. As a survivor of significant child abuse those two concepts have a lot of meaning for me. This is a tattoo of ownership of my past. I plan an upward facing koi sleeve for when I have progressed enough in therapy that my flashbacks stop. That will be a triumphant tattoo.

Thanks. The editor liked my book, so he asked me to write something for this one.

Spent my advance on tattoos, of course.

Just got published for the second time. This time a 70 page chapter on Fluid Power in this http://www.amazon.com/Machinerys-Handbook-30th-Large-Print/dp/083113092X/ref=sr_1_2?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1461191643&sr=1-2&keywords=machinery%27s+handbook

That is a lovely back piece! Agree that there is no predicting. I just sat all day for the last of my back and despite being on the rag, not sleeping, and having lots of relationship stress...it was my easiest sit ever! Don't worry, just go for it.

I will be 45 in a couple months. Got a half sleeve as my 40th birthday gift to myself. Planning a full sleeve in a couple years once I am finished earning my koi. Half sleeve is an easy jump. Personally I'd get the half with an option to extend since you are not certain yet. You will probably just book the extension after sitting with it a couple months but since it is a local artist there is nothing lost there!

still waffling. the leg piece would be easier I guess. I am no artist so I just can't be sure the arm piece would come out nice.

Forearm concept. Leaves too big maybe, branch missing. Sent from my XT1254 using Tapatalk

I am deciding on my next tattoo which will be on the 25th. I owe the artist a concept by Monday so he can draw something up. I know I want a barn owl. I have an entire forearm open, and alternatively a calf. I have a full day sitting scheduled. I am torn something fierce. Here are the two concepts I need to choose one and possibly refine it. 1) forearm sleeve idea. Barn owl showing its back on a maple branch on inner forearm with maple leaves on both inner and outer. Black/grey maybe hints of orange on leaves. Here is the owl image 2) outer calf piece. Barn owl standing on skull. Black/grey. Any thoughts?

Thinking about tattooing my fat belly. Good/bad idea?

Go for it! I did one side of my stomach even though I am a slob. -

Put the last day in on my back Monday. Mostly shading the lower back but he did touch a lot of areas all over as well. Aquaphor so far but probably switching tomorrow or Friday to Emu oil for the rest. Feels pretty good - better session and aftereffects than usual. I have come off a lot of meds in the past year so maybe that's why it was a much smoother ride this time. Should be all set for my forearm session in a few weeks. -
Appointment end of the month. Shane again. Getting a black & grey barn owl. Need to decide whether to go with photorealistic or stylized. Forearm or calf.
