I DVR it because I can't take the drama of a reality show. I do however like the tattoo aspects of the challenges, the concepts and the results. I fast forward through everything else. Oh, and I would do it in a heartbeat if they needed a canvas for a guest judge like Mr. Rubendall. :)

All I can say is if you have a chance to go see the Eagles of Death Metal on their current tour - DO IT. I've seen them before and they always put on a great show but these are super special since they are the first ones since the attack. The outpouring of love, support and respect made me a little teary. They gave the crowd everything they had back in spades. So freaking good. -

Hey now! 50 is the new 30! Watch out you young whippersnapper. @rufio -
Makes me want to spin Frank Turner's song "Tattoos"! Think that I will...

@Graeme That is odd. Pleasantly odd but odd. -
Yeah, so this 100%: oh - and people who constantly talk about getting tattooed but never do. I look at it as a couple of types of people. First, those who most likely will get a tattoo but haven't figured out what they want yet and those who are attention seekers. I have a friend who falls into the later category. She posted a check-in on FB at a shop with the caption "getting ink". A bunch of us were excited for her and asked for details...she never responded. At this point, I don't give a ** if she did or not. She'd respond with a passive aggressive comment. Totally not worth it. @marley mission

I like to say that I know 1% of nothing...about most things. :) I try not to judge these folks to much because they are so freaking excited about their "work." It's fun to watch them spin. Obviously, being the 15 minute expert is dangerous if they are giving advice but hopefully their advice is taken with a grain of salt. Anyone who is posting here could school them in a instant if they wanted to do so. It's more amusing to let them go... And know-it-alls on any topic are just f'ing annoying.

@Gemini Well done and congrats! Here's to any more hours of tattoo time. Oh, and this is thread that people need to read when they ask if tattoos hurt.

Socks. Always cool socks. :) @Kurgana

Have you checked his social media accounts? Maybe a Starbucks card or just a really nice tip. :)

Nice...your lady is hot!! Enjoy! @Dan -
Well, this thread hasn't been touched in a long time. *bump* I'm back on the bike doing about 150 miles a week which feels awesome. In another few weeks, I'll start teaching SUP again for the summer!

Yep, that works! @Dan I haven't been to Hawaii since I was a kid. I'd love to go back but it just takes so dang long to get there from the East Coast. We end up going to the Caribbean most often. Wear your sunscreen. :) -
Welcome! :) Look forward to seeing your art.

At the gym getting ready after my workout. I'm putting on my makeup in my jeans and bra. This lady rolls in with her 6 year old daughter. This little girl looks at my tattoos and says directly to me "Mommy says tattoos are stupid and so are the people who get them." I gently kneel in front of her and say "Your Mommy is closed minded and judgmental. You should always try to be kind to people and not jump to conclusions about people you don't know." Lady is horrified. Grabs child and leaves. Kid loved it..she smiled and waved goodbye to me. -
Google for the win! @marley mission (Plus, I was too lazy to type it out.) Ooo...Grez next week? Exciting! Do you have any room left? :) @suburbanxcore And 100% agree that he's on the Top Human's List.

Whew. :) I have one of those tattoos as well. Annoying but it is what it is. I truly thought my artist would have executed it so.much.better,
-
@Wedge And he's a good egg, too boot. I love going to the LES...so much good food and things to do. I have a pre-tattoo ritual when I go to the LES. Always go to Russ and Daughters for breakfast before my appointments!

Traveling to get a large tattoo a logistic nightmare?
Gingerninja replied to Matthew Williams's topic in Tattoo Advice
You already said it - talk to your artist! Also, she may travel to various conventions so that can be an option for you, too. @Tofer It's all about communication and setting expectations. Good luck! -
Oh, snap. You're not at peace with the tattoo or the article? Forgive me if I offended you. Ugh. @pidjones

At least someone didn't use the term groupie! I *hate* that term. I prefer super fan. Just because I see a lot of shows doesn't mean that I'm a groupie which for me has a negative connotation. For me, the term collector doesn't have that sort of negative connotation (or didn't until this thread).

@Wedge Very lovely. ♥️ Grez was a perfect choice to make your tattoo.

Gunner likes donuts. We have a local donut shop that makes doggie donuts which are a basic cake donut drizzled with peanut butter and topped with a Milk Bone.

Well done, @Dan Sometimes, I bring chocolates (wrapped, of course) for the crew. You are right about it making a difference. Enjoy your vacation! -
