    Hey...I don't think it looks bad at all. How healed is it in the bottom photo? As you know, tattoo's are imperfect... You can always have it touched up if it's driving you mental!

    I plan to be there but unsure if I am getting tattooded which is fine with me. My mom went into hospice last week, so I am on her timeline. I may end up doing the Love Hope Strength volunteer thing again but kinda slow rolling it... Friday hangs!!

    Hey! Dan's advice is 100% spot on. Do you have an artist is mind? Hopefully, the specialize in the style that you are looking to get and have done LOTR tattoo's before.

    I took an entire week off when I was in SF a couple of weeks ago. It's been over six years since I took an entire week off! Interestingly, it's either the sitting that I do on a daily basis or my workouts but my back doesn't hurt at all after skipping a week. I feel like a slug but at least my back doesn't hurt! @oboogie

    Hey! Welcome. It's really hard to say how many laser treatments you will need. Depend upon the ink(s) used, how deep they went, your body and the type of laser used. I'd find your artist as you are getting your laser treatments and ask them how light it needs to be. Remember that laser treatments take time...several months or more as well as time to heal between treatments. My advice? Start your laser treatments and get your artist lined up!

    @jnin Awesome! With Scott, you know your piece will be finished sooner rather than later. 🙂 Oh, and I have a good feeling about Hoyer. You will get in with him, I am sure. Yeah for tattoo trips!

    Interestingly, I didn't say anything to him about doing tebori or not, but he did know that I needed to have it finished if at all possible in the two sittings. Not only was the trip stupid expensive, I have two days booked in October to finish my leg and he was pretty clear that he didn't want anyone tattooing near his piece until his part was done. I'd love to have some tebori at eventually! @scottyg

    Thanks @SStu and @Bearcat78! I ended up with four new tattoo's and had some final touches put on another over the course of last week. Five sessions in five days...a new personal best for me. LOL. One guy at a shop was like "what's the rush?". I could have been a total A-hole and told him that I have a brain tumor and about to turn 55. But I didn't. 🙂

    Horitomo. Two sessions, all electric (rotary and coil). Photos do not do this justice! I will say that first four hours of outlining and shading was super hateful. Of course, I am already considering having him do my left shin. What is wrong with me? 😜

    @Oiocha I stared at the drawing of your backpiece for a few hours. I’m a little over the moon with my piece and I think he really like it, too. He said that he had a lot of fun doing it! It’s the only ‘freestanding’ nine tailed, mon mon style fox that he’s ever done. So rad!! And yeah, this was a bucket list trip. Everything went according to schedule and I even got a couple of serendipitous tattoos! Thank you for the kind words. ❤️
