  1. @AtomicMagpye I had my right knee colored in last Thursday (the line work was done last October). At this point, my left knee cap can stay empty forever!
  2. I say focus on your overall health. Eat super clean. Take your vitamins. Go get a checkup. Also, make a contingency plan. What if you aren't healed? You really want to put a backpack on your fresh backpiece? I say go find a beach and sit under an umbrella. Why risk messing up a fresh tattoo with a backpack? Think of all the sweat and friction on a fresh tattoo....
  3. A few things to consider... You will be one giant open wound. The chances for infection will increase each session. Do every thing you can to boost your immune system before, during and after each session. Are you traveling alone? Having someone to help you on during and after the sessions would be a great idea. You may not heal the same or as well as normal tattoos...think about the trauma to your skin and immune system. Last year, I was tattooed five days in a row but they weren't all day sessions , like ~16 hours total and all different tattoos. It was enough. This past week, I did two sessions (one 4 and 1 five hour). I know for me, keeping my immune system healthy and managing the healing process are my top priorities.
  4. OMG, yes. It's like an insult to change stylists in the same salon. Thankfully, I haven't had that issue with tattoo artists.
  5. It's not like changing hairdressers. My upper right thigh is my Spider Murphys tribute. I have work from Theo, Paul and Laurent and as soon as Erik is ready, I'll add something from him!
  6. Thorns, needles...what's the difference these days? 😉
  7. Where are you located?
  8. Off to NY later this week for more work on my arm and leg.
  9. It's not a big deal. I have work from different artists at the same shop. Go for it!
  10. You are healing and like @gtrjunior says, you gotta give it time. I will add that tattoos are imperfect and sometimes there are little imperfections that you just have to live with.
  11. Just remember to keep it super clean.
  12. Bring $500. You can tip and then buy yourself a nice dinner.
  13. I use light applications of lotion - my skin is super dry. That being said, you are gonna need to let everything heal for a good four to six weeks.
  14. Hey there....have realistic expectations going in and like @Dan said go with someone that has experience. Where are you located? I'd be willing to a) wait how long it took to get in with the artist and b) happily save my money for a kick ass tattoo.
  15. Grez made some progress on my arm. I really do love his roses...
  16. Wow, that was a GREAT event!!! If you are in Philly, check out the shop. It's a 150 yr old church that has been revamped to be a tattoo shop and design studio. There were so many people there. Excellent time!
  17. Ugh, that would be hard not to pick at but DON'T!!
  18. ^This^ I think that I have about a 13 various roses at this point. Keep it simple and clean!
  19. More work on my arm this weekend...only a few hours scheduled but I'll take it.
