You may have a bump for months. Let it be. I had a bump for about six months. 🙂

How to deal with the little imperfections on your tattoo?
Gingerninja replied to b.andersen's topic in Initiation
Just to echo what has been already said - that is a great tattoo! I love what @el twe said. Unless it's a shite tattoo, wabi sabi! -
Adulting is hard. Handle professionally, with respect and use this as an opportunity to reset your relationship with him. Find out what his expectations are, setup a path to achieve and propose items that you think will help you, him and the shop. ?

@Baboom I lit a candle and sacrificed a chicken under my desk for you. 🙂

Have an amazing session! @Tsam

Most painful spot to get tattooed
Gingerninja replied to Lochlan's topic in General Tattoo Discussion
Interestingly, my inner thighs haven't bothered me yet but there is a little more room to go. *fingers crossed for this weekend* @Dan- 1,060 replies

I loved seeing the diversity of dolls. Did you see Flo Nuttall's? Or Marius? So amazing!
-
I bid on a couple. Ended up with Todd Noble's dolls. Pretty stoked!

@AverageJer Yep...exactly! I hope that she was okay (that sucks!). I have four hours on Friday and all day on Saturday. The good news is that hubby is coming along so he can do the driving but I am already thinking about how to manage the swelling and overall gimp factor.

Thanks @Dan @SStu @Tsam. I needed to hear this. My guy in Massapequa did my ribs, hip and calf so I at least know how he works. All I know is that after my experience getting my right shin done, I was "Tomo-tized". 🙂

One week from my trip to Massapequa. I am so excited! I am trying to balance my excitement with the knowledge that knees suckkkkk.

Let me ask this....is this your first tattoo? I agree with everything that has been said so far. Where are you planning on putting this on your body?

Experience with getting ill right after being tattooed?
Gingerninja replied to Kittycakes's topic in Initiation
Hey....give a few months to settle in. Your body was sick then you stuck it with <x> number of needles causing a fresh wound. Be patient and let your body heal. -
You are right, its NOT healthy. Don't hate me for saying this but why does it have to have some deep meaning? From what I see, it looks cool. I would invite you to consider exploring other areas of your world that may not be aligned...is this misdirected frustration at someone/something else? I would offer that a bunch of us have tattoos that break "rules". But hey, if you don't like it, you don't like it. It's not a bad tattoo though!

1) You can shave or they can...I always shave myself. 🙂 2) Yes (kinda). Bring your music and earbuds. Eat. Drink. Rest up the night before. Bring snacks. Lots of sugary snacks. Six hours is a long appointment. Bring a pashima or hoodie to make yourself extra comfy. Don't forget your phone charger! 3) You are going to be stressed about your flight but you will be fine. You will be all wrapped up! 4) There will be plenty options to drink you water, coconut water, Gatorade, etc. It's not like you are pinned down. You got this! @naturalbornchiller

Oh, I understand now. IMO, if you color it in, it will be even MORE bold.

What about it is not "you"?

Maybe have a sticky post at the top of the initiation board that has the top FAQ for healing/blowout/regret... @SStu

Love your lil Hot Stuff! @oboogie And to add - Robert is exactly as nice as everyone says he is!!

@Oiocha Robert Ryan!

Side profile Lord Ganesha, made to fit by Robert. Another awesome tattoo located in a place that I will never see it.... 🙂
-
@piccalilli I am really looking forward to hearing your story. *grabs popcorn*

Welcome, Late to getting tattooed at 29? Good heavens, no. My advice...pace yourself and make good decisions, grasshopper. 🙂

Let it heal...breathe. Looks good! Nothing can be done about a little blowout. It happens. Skin is not a piece of paper. In a few years, it will all mellow out anyway. 🙂
