If you are in the UK, that looks like a job for Sneaky Mitch (Mitchell Allenden). He kills huge torso pieces. Can't wait to see it when you get started. I would ask a dermatologist about you skin ailment. I am afflicted with Keratosis pilaris. It doesn't hinder the tattooing as far as I know, but I can still feel it after the tattoo has settled in.
  3. I went last year and also to the Baltimore convention a few years earlier, both by Villain Arts. Most of the idiots there are huddled around all the "famous" Inkmasters. You'll see lots of goombas with their sleeves rolled up, showing off their epic tribal arm bands. A big emphasis on the Side Show acts and Eddie Munster. Many "artists" that have no business tattooing. Quite a few great artists too. I haven't looked at the artist attending list this year because I will be skiing that weekend but here are some good artists I saw last year or know are attending from IG posts. Myke Chambers Tim Pangburn Linus O'malley Eli Falconette Sean Lanusse Dave Bruehl Marina Inoue Heather Law Mark Stewart Mike Adams Pat Haney Mike Ski Josh Hoffman Pon NYC Travis Broyles Murray Sell Craig Chazen Tron I'm forgetting many others.
  4. Hello CABS, I looked through your tattoos, awesome artist collection you have there. Have you posted your Virginia piece anywhere on here? I did not see it. Thanks for sharing your work.
  5. Roses = Heck Yes A rose or multiple roses go with everything, but especially with panthers.
  6. Are you opposed to driving over to Cape Coral? Forever Tattoo is highly recommended by me Instagram Instagram Instagram Instagram This shop in Naples, Webb Works Tattoo, is pretty good too. Tim Gillman and Chris Buckholts Instagram David Bruehl is pretty sick as well, at Reddletter in Tampa Instagram Hope this helps out, good luck.
  7. I grew up in Gloucester County in Pitman. My first two tattoos were done by a borderline scratcher working out of the Pennsauken Mart. His name was Marlon Dunn. I then started my octopus leg "sock" in a basement in my hometown. The tattooer was actually in between leaving a shop and starting his own shop in Pitman, so I only had the outline done in his basement lol. He never finished the job after he tattooed me high on painkillers and I elected to go elsewhere. South Jersey shops are average at best, at least when I was living there. Are you referring to Electric Tattoo in Asbury Park?

Do you have any ideas or imagery you are thinking of starting with? What style tattoos do you enjoy?
  9. Good luck with your first tattoo. I would skip the initials as the imagery represents what it means for you. I would also go with a Japanese traditional style in a larger size, maybe 12" inches at least. Take your time researching a great artist, and don't let cost drive you selection of an artist.
  10. Yes Perkasie is in Bucks county, Montgomeryville is in Montgomery County, both are near the border between the two. I've heard of Frye but never been up there. I think that shop used to be Carl Hesse's shop. I've been in Living Arts a few times and Josh Hoffman is pretty awesome. He tattoos out of True Hand Society, a new shop in Philly, once or twice a week now too. Where are you from in Jersey? I was born and raised in South Jersey.
  11. Here are a few. the whole half sleeve is by Mark Stewart. The arrow through the chest is by Tim Gillman. Don't have a lot of pics available of my other stuff.
  12. Wow that is a stunning sleeve! This was your first tattoo experience?
  13. South East PA in Bucks County. Were you on another tattoo forum that was riddled with spam and trolls, I forget the name now..... Yeah I've been planning this with Virginia for two years now and am super stoked that the time is fast approaching.
  14. Hello, I have been a lurker of this website for some time now and decided to join as a member. I have approximately 40 hours of tattoo work on myself. Notable artists I've had work from are Mark Stewart, Tim Gillman, and Paul Sorcigli. I am scheduled to get my chest piece started on March 14th, from Virginia Elwood. I love bright and bold traditional tattoos and reading about the history of tattooing.
