  1. Cool. I managed to find pics on another thread on LST. So what was up with the line at King's Ave?
  2. I may be there Friday night if my ski trip falls through due to brutal cold weather. Anyone else going Friday night?
  3. Are you going to post pics of the progress on your blog? Question about the line you waited in. Is that common for a weekend or was Rubendall opening up his appointment book?
  4. Maybe I'll tag along on that trip, lol. I've been wanting that as a tattoo as well. I also gave all my groomsmen Leatherman tools as gifts for my wedding.
  5. Welcome. Do you have a link to your artist to see more of his work? Curious as to why you stopped after the line work was finished.
  6. Great first tattoo. That eagle is so clean, perfect linework.
  7. Does anyone know if the series is over or are there plans to feature more artists? I have watched every episode numerous times as I'm sure everyone else here has. Love Tattoo Age
  8. Welcome. I was first tattooed in 93 as well. Have not covered them up yet. Your new tattoo looks great, who was the artist?
  9. Welcome, My advice would be read the rules that were presented to you during the sign upintroduction for this website
  10. I'm binge watching Trailer Park Boys right now and I feel like a shit drop in a shit storm that's about to turn into a shit tsunami

  12. Thanks guys I think Walter's is more our speed, but damn Maison has 34 different oysters on their menu..... @CultExciter forgive me for sounding stupid, but is a co-op, like a deli or convenience store?
  13. Cool Thread. Food and drinks are very important post tattoo. I will be at Saved on the 10th and 14th of March so I've been doing research for all my pre and post tattoo meals and came up with the following itinerary. - Lunch on the 10th will be at Best Pizza, http://best.piz.za.com/gotta have Brooklyn pizza, right? Any other places? Of course I plan on asking opinions at the shop. - Staying at the Pointe Plaza Hotel, about 15 blocks from Saved. Is walking to Saved from hotel to far? - Pre-tattoo meal Sal's Pizza, on Lorimer St. one block away. http://www.salspizzawilliamsburg.com/ - My buddies tattoo With Chris Cleen is at 2pm, mine starts at 4pm - Huge raw oyster dinner at Maison Premiere and good beers. http://maisonpremiere.com/ - Continued drinking at Union Pool http://union-pool.com/ - Head back to hotel Any other recommendations in Williamsburg area welcomed I love an Old Fashioned so Walters might be the dinner spot and they have oysters...
  14. Bae = Danish word for poop. That's what I found when I had to look it up. lol I'm turning 40 this Sunday and I am an 80's/90's kid, if you consider an 18 year old, still a kid.
  15. I thought there was a Just Good Tattoo shop (Marcus Kuhn) in Portland. Looks like he may have closed it, but that would have been the tits. Check out Tsunami Tattoo and Wicked Good Ink, they look better than decent.
  16. Looks great. Are you going full back with this? Also how did you do with your breathing? Did you seem more relaxed and able to regulate the pain?
  17. I am relatively hairy. My chest would be about an 8 out of 10 on the fur factor. I'm figuring I will buzz it down the night before and let my artist shave the rest off before the tattooing starts. I'm good for at least 5 ingrown hairs just from buzzing down for the beach. I'm hoping it doesn't look like I have acne after a shave. I was thinking of a hot towel before she shaves to help.
  18. This convention is run by Villain Arts. Check out their website for the artist attending list and look for a quality artist in the style you prefer. I like the convention atmosphere but it's not for everyone. I got tattooed in Baltimore at the 2010 convention and got stuck there in a blizzard for two days. Artists were giving tattoos away because 60 percent of the appointments were canceled due to the weather. There are good possibilities that you could get a walk up tattoo from a good artist, however the most sought after artists usually book up in advance. Also just because an artist is there doesn't mean they are good at their trade.
  19. I'm only counting 5 or 6 tentacles, is that correct? Looks good otherwise.
  20. I like his stuff as well. Are you referring to his morph backpiece he started? Lots of awesome options at the convention this year, sad I won't be there. My buddy will be getting tattooed by Heather Law
  21. I had this happen to me on my ditch tattoo. My doctor told me to stop using lotions, as this was most likely the cause. It cleared up slowly after I turned to dry healing.
  22. Here are a few artists I follow that I think are under-recognized, or maybe I am just out of the loop. Cam Davis Instagram THE most perfect roses I have seen Drew Wilson Instagram Really cool "state" tattoos and a kick ass fly fisherman. Dan Pemble Instagram WOW, check out his bears Mark Stewart Instagram I have work from him Koji Ichimura Instagram Really like this style
  23. March 10th I will be headed to Saved Tattoo for my consultation with Virginia Elwood. March 14th I will go back and get my chest piece started. I am getting both of my grandfathers' Navy portraits on either side of my upper chest/shoulder area, a battleship in the middle with two flying fish under my pecs. Maybe a rose in the middle of my sternum, and rope with knots "framing" the rest of the area on top. Basically letting her run with colors and design. I'm hoping she can do all the line work and a good first pass on the portraits in my first sitting. I don't know about her speed so we shall see. I have been planning on this for at least 20 years, that I can recall, so I am nervous and excited with anticipation. I trust she will kill it.
