No question I prefer this image in black & gray. I enjoyed the way they handled Death in the Harry Potter movie, and I like reaper spiders and reaper snakes.

I have tickets for both Sunday and Monday concerts, have a hotel room booked, and train tickets home on the 30th have been purchased. I don't think I can cram a tattoo into this trip? I've been looking at Deluxe Tattoo (Ryan Flaherty specifically), but I 1) don't want a time constrained tattoo from an artist I've been following on the internet, and 2) don't want to go to two concerts / ride public transportation / walk all over the Loop with a fresh tattoo.

I can't remember wanting a specific one as a kid. I could ride my bike (in town) or horse (on the farm) as far as I ever wanted to go, and we played The A Team until it got dark. Now, I think I'd like to be able to teleport.

If you're into his style, Matt Stebly is in Ocean Springs. Matt Stebly Tattoos : Oh my goodness, there are a lot of tattoo shops down on Magazine. If you go, get a po boy and an Abita at Parasol's.

I am sorry for your loss. There is nothing wrong with a man wearing a daisy, IMO. A strong black & gray with dates would be a powerful statement. Your artist will be able to help you with formulating your ideas into a workable tattoo. I'd not go in with your ideas too firm, because watching my ideas turned into an image was the best part of my first tattoo. (Which happens to be a girly flower :) )

There is a lot of skin that is exposed with casual clothing, but covered with "work" clothing, and skin that is usually covered except at the beach that you can tattoo regardless of your profession. Visible tattoos are not always ok, even in "casual" work situations, but it can vary widely. I used to work closely with a corporate art department. Some of the artists had visible tattoos, some had covert tattoos, and some had no tattoos. It was not a barrier to their jobs in the art department, but they may not have moved into client facing sales or convention positions because of them. To be quite honest, the woman with hand tattoos and a full back piece had no interest in client facing work at all, so it was not a barrier to her.

Do you like them with wings out or folded? Fighting, on a flag, with something clutched in talons? Don't put a dinky one in a big open area.

Tattoo Picture Gallery | Last Sparrow Tattoo I've only uploaded to the gallery here from my iPad, not from a PC. I hope you've got lots of Kirk Jones tattoos! I'd totally fly to your town to get tattooed by him :)

Terrible tattoos don't cost that much ;) I see this every year at the State Fair. They're not just randomly in swim suits, so they have to show them, they're intentionally showing them off. And they're clearly getting tattooed in someone's garage. I suspect people with really good tattoos are trying very hard to keep them covered from the August sun.

Baby shed Gosh, today the baby chameleon and I are hanging out, peeling. -
...but you could get space filling geometric work... I like looking at blackwork. I'm pretty sure I'll never have a large piece of it, but I love to see it on all of those svelte bodies.

New member from Norway - wants advise on cover up tattoo

*Kostia Maestro | PiercingForAll Blog. Here is the rose cuff I was thinking about earlier but could not find. I've wondered about 'passing' tattoos this way. -
New member from Norway - wants advise on cover up tattoo
Tornado6 replied to maggielocks's topic in Initiation
This is why I think many rose tattoos look like coverups. Do you want them just gone, or could you live with having them incorporated into a new tattoo? You could explore a wristband / cuff style. Some of them are so pretty that I think I could almost get away with wearing them to work. -
I hope my little bird becomes the next big thing. Everyone should have at least one :p I have seen one other "bird with fry" tattoo, and several other of Geninne's birds as tattoos, but I've not seen them together before. Some images are going to be repeated, or nearly so, over and over, because there are only so many variations on that theme. There might be a few things new under the sun, but they are rare.

Is there any technical reason why my right ankle swelled and hurt for almost a week, and the left one hardly hurts two days out? The tattoos are in the same place from side to side, but it seems pretty obvious they aren't applied in the same way. I'm sure it isn't because I'm so tough now :) -
"Rules" on direction animals should face

It faces forward. Today I will be as happy as a bird with a French fry. Just a silly little picture to make me smile. -

I'm going to try to put a bird on it tomorrow, if I can get a walk in. I'm wide open on placement (I can't decide where I want it). I'll let you know how we place it :) -
How'd you know!?!?!??

That's what I stared at the whole time I was being tattooed. I have to say that I was not inspired to have it added to the other leg immediately, but it was a pretty good distraction when he was working down on my ankle bone...

I have a friend with a sea turtle back piece. Thankfully she was cool with pulling up her shirt just about anywhere but work. Poor thing...

Katy and Lacey, both rescues, both awesome dogs. Lilia, goes by Doobie, before we adopted her. 'Unnamed', goes by Nacho. Hanging out. One of us is going to wind up with a tattoo of Nacho, I think.

Adinkra symbols are from West Africa, and would lend themselves to tattoos. Perhaps darker skin tones led to scarification and stretching instead of tattooing? Facial scarification comes to mind immediately, but facial tattoos have a very different connotation in the West.
