You could always do a panther with dive bombing smaller birds (like swallows)- Nikki Balls posted one on her instagram not to long ago. Another take is snake/cat with swallows like this burner from Zack Spurlock:

I have a small snake getting stabbed with a dagger worked into my Mary piece. My big snake is going to be in my battle royale on my back- now I just have to decide who's going to do it. As far as execution, I like O'Donnell's execution, but I'm also feeling the folky patterns in BH Robinson's snakes- maybe I can have both?

@Dhopper - yeah, at Triple Crown. I'm getting a jaguar with Mayan ruins & jungle worked inspired by 2012. Execution-wise, it'll be in line with Scott's other big Japanese and cat tattoos. He's been posting stuff on his Instagram that has me excited about next month

Made a deposit with Scott Ellis yesterday and the area ( outside thigh panel) was traced. We should be starting 2nd week in November. This is going to be my first big tattoo, and in a weird way, it seems like much more of a commitment to being tattooed than the other smaller tattoos I have. Did any one else feel that way when they got their back/thighs/full chest/ ribs done?

Ha- I could've sworn I put mine on here - fallingapartart : art, flowers, motorcycles, antiques, occasional pics of my ugly mug to scare people off. I still don't understand why people follow each other; for me it's good tattoos or art, people I know, or motorcycles

After being blown away by his larger scale pieces, I've decided to go with with Scott Ellis at Triple Crown for the jaguar- working on going in for the consult in the next few weeks. Sample of bad ass bigger pieces: and an awesome tiger head: Oh yeah- again, it's going on my thigh, not my back, but it's going to be big, so the back pieces were what I thought of for reference.
