  4. www.thread-wizard.com - Home = good stuff. IDK, I don't feel any shame promoting myself. I don't have a retail space/street shop, a street team, corporate sponsors, or any of that, so someone has to do it ; )
  5. I would guess Torres is leaving his chest bare a) because he's waiting for someone in particular to tattoo it b) he's heard it hurts like hell. I've made a deal with my fiance' to not tattoo my chest, everything else being open to ink. So that should look interesting in a few years ; )
  6. Following them for awhile- definitely some of the best stuff on the interwebs: Shirts & Destroy | Home

Shameless plug: my new line of limited edition screened ring spun tees is out next week: Available next week in my online shop: FallingApartArt Big Cartel $25 (plus shipping-usually $5ish)= shirt= two 3x3 vinyl stickers
  8. Bring this back to the top- less typey, more showy The OG: and from the religious/ spiritual tattoo thread: Freddy Corbin: Chris Garver: Bert Krak: Tim Hendricks: Bert Krak flash:
  9. If I see a show that features an artist tattooing in a style I like, I'll check it out. Tim Hendricks is the only reason I watch NY Ink (I like Ami's japanese work, but he spends more time playing the tough guy role than tattooing on that show). If Dan Smith is tattooing on LA Ink, I might watch that episode. But I'm usually flipping between that and "Ancient Aliens" or "Occult Secrets of the Nazis", so I can skip to the finished tattoo.
  10. Seems like producers think those 'challenges' work best when they give people exactly what they want, then show the negative reaction shots. Most of my knowledge of this is from watching baking shows w/ my fiance' who does cakes in her spare time (no mixing bowl/ cupcake/ sprinkle sleeves for her...yet).

The "prison" stuff is cool, but he should've done envelope. I've seen some bangin' pinta envelopes in my time = )
  12. Let's see- I've been tattooed to psychobilly, Bill Hicks (which is tough when you want to laugh), Love and Rockets, doom metal, and Wutang. Personally, I love all of it and each time it has put me in a different state of mind. My fiance' who likes to sit with me may not agree, but I like to get deep, meditative. When I get my back done, I want some "A Man Called Horse" shit going:
  13. Hmm-maybe an "Inkmasters" producer will pick this up as a 'challenge' for their show: "Today we're going to be pushing your design skills and creativity to the limit. Each of you will be responsible for creating a tattoo based on your client's line of work..."
  14. I heard you could claim disability and collect unemployment with a face tattoo. In the movie "Cadence" starring Charlie and Martin Sheen, a soldier gets sent to the stockade for getting eight balls tattooed on his hands: I know the military has rules about acceptable placement/subject matter, but IDK if it gets you sent to the stockade.
  15. Glad he posted about aftercare- always wondered about that.
  16. "Rabble, rabble, I was a biker before it was cool, grumble, grumble" Just wanted to lock that into the Google search crawler so I can reference it later this year = )
  17. I bought one of those non-photo blue pencils w/ the intention of speeding up my clean-up to scanning process. My damned scanner still picks up the blue lines. I guess I need to adjust the settings. I also forgot to mention that I'll draw stuff on the tracing paper first because it's cheaper, get the lines right, then use a light box to trace those lines onto the final paper in light pencil, mess with it a bit there, and then line in ink. Things change for me as I do that and helps me make decisions along the way.
  18. You don't think it's normal to see fully sleeved/ neck bombed chefs making cupcakes? Giant colorbombs of mixing bowls and whisks and stuff seems to be the norm on those cooking shows. A bit O/T: My Dad was a chemical plant operator for over 25 years-real rough neck shit. He and hardly any of his friends had tattoos and if they did, they were smaller traditional stuff like roses, names, eagles, etc. None of them had giant cooling towers, various chemical compounds, or tools of their trade running up their sleeves. I am who I am, not what I do. I don't need to get tattoos of art supplies to prove I'm an artist. I do something novel, like create art ; )
