  1. Pssh- I'm probably going to have an owl on the other side of my chest, eagle battle royale on my back, bring my torso bird count to four. Birdman-fly in any weather
  2. @Dumpleton- if you can find the Spider Murphy flash book- there's some great ones in it: low res Cripwell pic: Low res Mindell pic:
  3. His mentor did a few tattoos and he didn't have a lot of work to do today? Sounds like he had a station to set-up/ tear down, tubes to be cleaned, floors to be cleaned, drawing to be done. Oh wait- I'm describing an actual apprenticeship.
  4. I got roses to represent each one of my kids.
  5. One statement that drives me crazy from people that I know (friends and family) that have seen me collect tattoos is: "So when are you going to move on to your head/neck?" in a sarcastic/ joking way. I've decided if I'm talking to a woman, I going to say "Oh, you shave your legs- when are you moving on to your head?"
  6. Our newest limited edition tee chosen via input from the LST community, printed in high quality American Apparel tees: Only 29 were run of this design and once they're sold, they're gone. Currently, we have on Xlarge left, but plenty of larges, mediums, and smalls. IM and/or Paypal $30(includes US shipping) to [email protected] or via our Big Cartel store: http://fallingapartart.bigcartel.com/product/temple-of-the-jaguar-tee
  7. The show was a HUGE success- tons of people came out and had a great time: 7pm- doors open: 930pm- people still pouring in: We'll posting the art in an online store for purchase (originals and prints). Get new art from your favorite artists! Thanks for your support!

    Art thread.

I've been wanting to try my hand at this.
  9. "The bacteria got into the containers when the manufacturer used distilled or reverse-osmosis water, which is not necessarily sterile. In the New York cases, which led to a recall by the Arizona-based manufacturer, the water was used to dilute black ink into various shades of gray." Sounds suspect. I know they make gray wash ink, but every tattooer I've been to mixes down their own. Seems like the FDA is trying to regulate/tax something else like they want to do with natural supplements ( have to get a prescription for ginseng or an herbal multi-vitamin, not thanks)
  10. @Amok I'm probably not going to put this one on in the Big Cartel store; I think Dumpleton was referring to seeing if you wanted another shirt from there and working out international shipping here. The rate I found online for International flat rate of $16.95 http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices....&p=0&o=1&mt=18 I still need to get to the post office to see if that's correct, so if your international and interested in a shirt, send me your address so I can check all at once (I assume it's the same for the whole country) Also, I'm down to 2 xlarges, but I have PLENTY of larges
  11. They're here! Everyone that said they were interested, IM and/or Paypal $30(includes US shipping) to [email protected] and I should have them in the mail this weekend @Dumpleton I have you sorted out and I'll message you with a total shortly-Thanks for you patience!
  12. I like some "negative space"(skin) in a tattoo- helps add contrast/makes stuff next to it "pop".
  13. "Not a fan of traditional styles because to her they don’t look realistic enough, Sarah specializes in portraits and pin-ups." Yeah, they look like tattoos- go figure
  14. Speaking of extra change, I love Maharishi Clothing: They also sell limited edition art: Art | maharishi online store for mens and womens clothing. I could seriously post everything on their page here, but it would prolly be easier to just check out their page: Maharishi online store for mens and womens clothing.
  15. Also wanted to throw these in here- I'd drop some coin on these for sure if I had extra:
  16. I'll be 37 this Fall and I received my first tattoo five years ago. I don't regret starting late- for me it was a matter of money and perspective. When I was a teenager in the 90's, all of my skater/ graffiti friends were tattooing each other with cheap machines or hand poked and I resisted the urge. At one point around '97, I started drawing colored pencil flash with a friend with the idea of becoming a tattooer- he got into the business, I just got into trouble. Years later, when I was about to graduate college (twelve year plan), I decided to get tattooed after one of those high school skater friends decided to get his scratcher tribal lasered and covered. I checked out the shop where he was getting his cover up (Triple Crown) and started getting educated on real tattooing. Here I am now, 11 tattoos later :D
  17. I like those, but knowing my lifestyle, there's no way I could ever keep those in one piece. Now THESE- I LOVE these: and when I wear lighter/ navy stuff, I have these: I have classic Doc 8 holes for when I ride my motorcycle, some lace up gray Vans, cordovan pennies and brown Bucs for work/dress casual, and twenty year old black Florsheim wing tips when I want to shine suckers: Old man shoe game
  18. I hope to join the LST Big Cat Club in early November with a crawling jaguar on my left thigh from Jason Brooks. That'll probably be it for me through next year up to my wedding; I'm also in the process of trying to get together funds to open a store. I'll have to live vicariously through you guys for awhile ;)
  19. LST II: The Wrath of Bubbleberry:
  20. You probably thought my response was alive: "
  21. You realize this is a TATTOO forum- you know, tattoos, those pictures we permanently stick on our very impermanent bodies. Some are good and some are bad from a technical perspective, some are thought out and planned and some are seemingly chosen at whim, but perhaps based out of a lower drive in our id. But whatever the case, this is most certainly a virtual forum about tattoos in a virtual space called the internet. You can argue that this is real all you want, but in my opinion, it will have little effect on what happens to me, sitting at this keyboard as I hunt and peck this out. You want to affect real change, get offline and do something. You're concerned about the treatment of women, life, consciousness or the country you're from, get out, volunteer and do something about it. Or have circular arguments with random strangers on the internet, many of whom I should point out, aren't even from your country. It's your life, not mine indeed.
