  1. Didn't realize non tattoo photos caused a shit storm around these parts. Noted.
  2. @keepcalm I agree. It's nice to see everyday photo of people sometimes. I find online it's usually zoomed in on the artwork (fantastic!) or professional odel photos that are not quite everyday, ha. I don't even know if I make sense. I usually don't prior to having my coffee. ;) @pidjones Ha! Thank you! I'm forced to disagree- I'd vote there's not a homely looking one among you bunch.
  3. If you think it may get in the way of your professional attire, I'd generally avoid it. Or make sure it's easily covered up (leaving people to believe you are a prude- not a bad thing, ha). Button ups can be your friend. I have my collarbone done and can manage to cover when needed. Typically I just pretend it's not there and dress as I choose, occasionally tossing a chunky necklace on it. Example-
  4. @Mush All my days are Saturdays (shift work, too). But regardless, we are going to the Montreal convention so I'll lurk your (hopefully) completed back there.
  5. Hope you post up some of the progress! I'm in the week before you in Dec and every 4-5 weeks after until oh... Nov 2015. Here's to hoping one of our session dates cross. :)
  6. So much top notch work has been posted. I'm green with envy over here.
  7. @a1steaks, your back looks incredible and so close to completion (I'm assuming). How long have you been working on it for?
  8. I'm extremely envious of everyone at this convention. Have fun.
  9. Mine is _16VH. Not full of tattoos like other peoples, mostly weekend adventures with the pup. I only have it on lock down to keep life private from the coworkers.
  10. I'm sure we will cross paths at some time as we will both be at the shop an awful lot, ha. I live only about 2.5hrs (on a good day), so hopefully it's not that bad in the winter. Best of luck with your back, I hope you keep posting photos.
  11. @Mush I go in Dec 6th to start. I'm starting a shoulders to knees full coverage back that's all Canuck inspired. A samurai looking log driver is the main focus, ha. Hard to explain, but had my last consult last weekend (still have some sharpie on my ass) and I love it. Are you from out that way? I'm so not looking forward to the brutal winter drives out there (if last winter is any indication of this winter).
  12. What an awesome start, @Mush. No shame in tapping out. Scott's work is amazing and I hope you post more of it in the future. Small world, but I'm starting my back piece with Scott in December.
  13. I'd love to see those Noble pieces, @Rikhall. Did he happen to have his new book on hand? I think it's called The Look of Love.
  14. Maybe she should venture into some tattoo shops and get a tattooers advice on what she can have done with them. Just curious, but was she feeling good about them before?
  15. I'd say a tie up bikini to be your best bet. Tie up prior to sitting up and works for both top and bottom areas. But I'd love to see what other people suggest. Oh, and the infamous Rocky suit (sweats top and bottom) for after the session for max comfort. ;)
  16. Yesterday I went in for my second (and final) consult for my back. I'm so incredibly in love with what we are doing. But as I'm still trying to get all the rough drawing off my back/ass/and thighs this morning I can't help but be nervous as all hell. I'm not brand new to getting tattooed, been getting work for over a decade, but talk about jitters. We are doing full coverage (exactly what I've been waiting to do and kept the areas open for) and I keep thinking I'm going to tap out early often. I know I won't. Everyday I go in for an appointment I'll be driving 5hrs (round trip), so I'm hoping mill get my head right on the drive in each time. But so not looking forward to driving home after ass or thigh work. Again, jitters galore. I'm now just talking in circles and feeling like a wuss. Anyways, kudos to all of you who have committed and started/finished the process. This thread rules.
  17. A back piece in three days?! Best of luck. I've seen some too notch Erin Chance work in person. At least you know it'll be worth the back to back sittings.
  18. @MrToby Your back is looking amazing so far. But damn, 12hrs of lines, I'm so not envious of that.
  19. I think you are very confused as to what blue collar is if you are associating it with being a high school drop out.
  20. This is my little lady, Blue. She moved in last summer when she was around 6-7 mths old. Couldn't ask for a better snuggle buddy.
  21. Oh, I'm aware. I've worked for a couple places now (both union and non-union) that have closed up shop and moved down south. But it's the line of work I'm in. I guess I should of stated that I more so enjoy spending my days in coveralls over the idea of getting behind a desk.
  22. Next tattoo is in December starting my full back piece (shoulders down to knees) with Scott Duncan of Sugar Shack. I haven't been tattooed in almost two years since picking up a couple from Mario Desa. Feeling a little on the wuss side of things by being both extremely nervous and excited to start my back.
