  2. I started working on my ass yesterday! Tattoo I mean. I’m working on a body suit and that pasty white ass was really bugging me so I decided to get that tattooed too. I told my artist he could do whatever he wanted, which has always worked out well. My wife said, “ You told him he could do whatever he wanted with your ass?” It’s not as creepy as it sounds.🤔 it didn’t hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. A little tender around the crack, but not unbearable. He did the outline yesterday, we’re going to color in two sessions, depending on how well I sit.

    Black vs colour!

I prefer colored tattoos. I don't think they're as durable though

Saturday gone I went in to get current webs touched up and extend webs into the cleavage. My appointment was pushed back an hr so we ran out time to fix the cleavage webs. It just wasn't working with my anatomy, so we're going to come back to those another time. Managed to get a couple lines thickened on existing webs and a little cherry banger on my left calf (will match with skull cherries on right) , just after closing time.

  14. Just wanted to share some new flash I got yesterday, my favorite tattoo shop was running a Friday the 13th promotion and I decided to go for it! Getting custom drawn flash is so much fun. you can really tell how much the artists love each one of their drawings and I am always proud to wear the best of their work. Tattoos like this make me very happy 😊 This one was done by Max at Pretty Sturdy Tattoo in Denver. He has tattooed me before, I love his work. Really all the artists at the shop are amazing- the shop is covered floor to ceiling in all their flash paintings and it’s just really cool. I’m pretty sure my whole arm will be covered in their tattoos eventually. This pic is from last night right after I cleaned it up and put my first saniderm dressing on it. I bled a lot more than I usually do with this one, but maybe it was just a tender spot. Today it looks pretty gnarly but it has calmed down quite a bit and doesn’t sting as much. We are well on the way to a smooth healing process

@rabbitrok @Dan , yeah can't go wrong with flowers! I have some little blossoms and the roses with more flowers to come. But I still stand by the skulls 💀 😍

    Need help

Hi, welcome to the forum. Please note this bullet item in the 'forum rules' https://www.lastsparrowtattoo.com/rules/ Do not start threads asking about specific tattooing equipment or techniques, LST is not here to teach anyone how to tattoo. Ask your own tattooer, the next time you are getting tattooed. Maybe they'll answer you, maybe they won't. cheers

  19. The only "amazing" thing I've been doing lately is job hunting. Honestly, it’s stressful. I’m always worried about having enough money for basic expenses and stuff each month. There are lots of jobs on Layboard https://layboard.in/vacancies/jobs-in-uae/jobs-in-dubai/speciality/baker, where I’ve spent most of my time. I sent my CV to several companies and I’ve got decent baking skills, even without formal training. So I hope they'll give me a chance to do a test task or something to show what I can do.

  20. Well it's been a hot minute and I've had a heap of family stuff going on including a loss so had to cancel some appointments. Managed to get a couple done last weekend though. Bat, cicada , and angry cloud. A first for me- I almost fell asleep. I think purely due to the fact this was the first time I'd stopped since all of the things decided to happen. I'll get around to that elbow in the coming month I hope.

    Black vs colour!

why do you say that color tattoos are not as durable ? if a tattoo is applied properly it doesn't matter if it's black & gray or color, it all lasts the same. I have color tattoos that are brighter and more vibrant than some of my B&G pieces ,and that's after years of healing on all.

  23. just keep it clean with anti-bacterial soap and keep the lotion on it a few times a day, it will heal. you could also try a light coat of https://www.walmart.com/ip/Palmer-s-Cocoa-Butter-Original-Solid-Formula-7-25-oz/602195518?wmlspartner=wlpa&selectedSellerId=1150

  24. It's just waves and windbars and cherry blossoms. We talked about a bunch of ideas, but there really isn't a whole lot of space and we have so much going on it would probably have been too busy with more images. My back piece is my avatar, I have a tiger and a meditating samurai and koi on one leg and a female samurai riding a tiger along with a snake and skull on the other leg so I was OK with keeping it simple.

Thanks! I'm amused by the colour progression in the bruising today. It's not sore, but looks like it definitely should be! I have also inquired about a couple specific dates for my elbow, as I've realised I'll be in town for some professional development. Will see if it's enough time or if I just have to wait for a Saturday to come free. Been looking at more aquatic themed ideas for the elbow. Otherwise it will be a flower.

  26. So Kyle had a cancellation at 2pm.... ended up going in for an impromptu elbow ditch pearl in a clam shell! from stencil to walking out, 1hr total! I expected it to be horrible but it was actually fine. I just can't bend real well well at the moment 🤣

  27. My elbows weren't the worst, but it still hurt. Hahaha. Prepare yourself. 😂

  28. Even if it hurts, it's a small body part, so it doesn't take a long time to tattoo.

Thanks, hopefully I'm one of the ones that it isn't too bad for. Either way, I won't be avoiding it as I want them done. My sternum was easy, but the front of my thigh was shit- so who knows! I filled out a booking form and requested March, so we will see how we go!

  30. You won't get a refund. I hope you find a tattoo artist who can fix it for you.

  31. True. Different people react differently. I hear how bad the back is, but I almost fell asleep several times when I had my back done.

    Heavy scabbing

That looks really overworked to me. Just give it a couple of months. If will probably heal fine. I don’t think I’d go back though,

  33. the only person to ask for that info will be the tattooer you choose to do the work, it depends on how big, where it's going, etc etc, you also need to research tattooers that do that style, making sure that tattooer is good, once you find the right tattooer, setup a consultation to talk in person about your idea, it's a process,
    2 points
  34. I like that. Add anything you want to it. You don't have to have a theme.

  37. I don't know how well that will hold up, especially if you don't find an artist that has serious skills. I would try to make that less ... busy? There's just too much happening. Way too much.

Good idea. If there is an issue, you can always get it touched up. Have a drink, or your favorite unprescribed pharmaceutical and relax.

so, keep it clean, put a little Aveeno on it a couple times a day, and look at it again when it's healed in 6 weeks. It looks fine, don't scratch it or pick scabs.

  44. Hey guys. Long time no post. Heres an update to this thread. I finally found another artist i liked and got the tattoo i wanted. Check it out. 🙂 I actually was aware of the artist for quite some time but it took me a while to finally be able to make an appointment with them. Its a tattoo of the character Morpeko from Pokemon.

  45. I've been told my the artists when getting a new tattoo or a touch up, and it usually takes two weeks to heal. So like they say experiences may vary
    2 points
  46. yes it is,let it heal for a couple months, the scabbing and milky look will go away. don't pick at it, put on a light coat of Aveeno a couple times a day. it will be fine.
    2 points
  47. Totally normal. Many people experience temporary regret after they get a tattoo too. I’ve never had it, but apparently it wears off pretty quickly. If you are going to a reputable artist, just trust them. The reality is, unless you run around with no shirt a lot, it’s not like a lot of people will see it anyway. The main thing is for YOU to be happy. Good luck and let us know how it went, with a pic.

  49. White ink didn’t hurt me more than any other, but my skin is really pale and it looked like I hadn’t been tattooed at all. It was the kimono of my Japanese warrior and my artist wound up redoing it in pale green. No more white ink for me.
