  1. Newbies mostly, come on all the time asking if something is infected. It's true, we aren't doctors, and even if we were, we shouldn't be dispensing medical advice over the internet, BUT some of us have been around long enough to know what to look for. If it's not hot, oozing, smelling, extremely painful, it's not likely to be an infection. That's just a fact. I'd be the last one to discourage someone from seeking medical advice if they were concerned, but there are indicators. Same with healing - people come on all the time, "I've had this tattoo for two days, will it heal right?" Same with blowouts - "How do I fix a blowout?" Same with reactions/allergies - "My tattoo itches, am I allergic to the ink?" There are probably some others that I'm not thinking about. Just food for thought. And for Christ's sake, don't come on the forum asking for advice and then start arguing! If you already know the answer, what are you asking for? And if you don't know the answer, why are you arguing with my answer?

  2. Look at you two little boys hiding behind your computer screens acting like bullies to people with simple concerns about their tattoos. Effing children you two are. This site is a damn joke with you two here. Pathetic! oboogie, I'm mainly talking about you, "HOTSHOT"

  3. Hey guys, Ok, so I got a new tattoo on my forearm about 5 days ago today. On day it started bubbling, and almost scabbing over already. Now it's looking worse. It looks like its missing spots and some line work that was initially there on day 1. I have 6 other tattoos and have NEVER had this issue. This is a tattoo that was already there, but it was awful, so 5 months later decided to have it redone, could that be why its doing this? The artist who did is supposed to be unbelievable, so I doubt it's him. Will this tattoo heal OK or am I doomed for yet a THIRD retouch-up on it?

  4. Clearly, you do. Why don't you jump off @Hogrider D, and speak for yourself. Child!

  6. This. You have to provide all the details to get accurate help. Oh, look! Another name for my ignore list. Also, button it up. You don't set the rules here, as @Hogridersaid. Who the F*** are you anyway? 🤣 And yours isn't infected, either, hotshot.

  7. Marie - This is the first time you've posted that. I can't speak for anyone else, but I was addressing your original post, "There isn’t any redness really and it’s not hot, but it is tender in those specific areas." Which is quite different than super hot, has pus and is growing larger. Anyway, I hope it heals nicely.

  8. She’s asking opinions and we’re providing them. I don’t need to be a doctor to know the symptoms of an infection and she doesn’t have them. As to allergies, if you look at the medical literature, the number of actual documented allergies is tiny. The chances that this is an allergy is close to zero. What many of us with years of experience getting tattoos have seen is tattoos like this caused by someone tattooing like they were using a jackhammer. When the most likely explanation covers all of your symptoms, it’s probably the correct one. Last, YOU don’t set the rules here. If you want to be the big cheese, start your own forum.

  9. Damn guys, leave the woman alone. She has a concern about a permanent piece of work on her arm, she has a right to be concerned. Neither of you guys are doctors of any sort, so technically, you have no idea if its a allergic reaction, infection, etc…the lady says its both, diagnosed by a medical doctor, so it’s an infection. I’m having the same sort of situation with a 6 day old piece of mine, and yes, I have questions. Sue her good lord leave her alone.

  10. You aren't allergic. Doctors know F*** all about tattoos and ink, but sure. Whatever you makes you feel better about it. I give up.

  11. If it looks effed up after fully healing, get it touched up. Meanwhile, just let it dry heal.

  12. Umm it's a little warm at times, but not bad. It's not oozing, no smelling. Just wat looks like a TON of thick nasty scabbing, and now they're cracking and starting to bleed, but I'm trying not to put too much lotion, but its been tough. Do you think this will heal normally or will it look effed up after healed? I can also tell that it's missing some ink in spots, and a few small lines are missing. Is that a product of the way it looks or..?
