  1. Reminds me of a time when my brother, his daughter and my father were in the living room and my brother said, "Show my daughter your back." I said I didn't think she wanted to see it, but she did so I whipped off my shirt and showed her my back piece (in my avatar). My father looked like a deer in headlight, like "this does not compute." He never said a word. I may have fried his brain.

  2. My parent hate my tattoos. They're both 70, and they still think that only sailors or gang members have tattoos. They have literally said that to me. I have one of a skeleton, and that did not go over well at all. 🤷‍♀️ We've had a couple of fights about them, but we know there's no turning back at this point. I actually had a talk with my mom recently and told her that her "funny jokes" (also known as her thinly veiled dislike) about my tattoos were hurtful and not nice. Too soon to say if anything will actually change based on that, but the point is, none of us want my tattoos to ruin our relationship so we don't let them. Yes, they have caused issues at times, but we do still have a generally good relationship.

    Light spot on my tattoo

too early to make any judgements. give it 4-6 weeks to see what you've really got. Wait several months for touch-ups, if needed.
