  1. I don’t mean to sound rude but getting tattoos and overthinking don’t match. and a “tiny bit sore like tiny bit”.. tattoos hurt, during and after, certain parts of my sleeve hurt for two weeks and were swollen for a week at least... if you’re worried; go to a doctor, or back to the tattoo artist, none of us are able to tell you what’s right or wrong for your body.

  3. Just thought I’d share some progress on my turkey vulture back piece. Around 12 hours in and it’s coming together! This piece has really tested me mentally and physically. I just got out of Covid quarantine and my body was not at all prepared to handle a tattoo. This last 4.5 hour session was brutal. I feel like such a little baby but this back piece has been deeply painful! I love being tattooed but getting them... do not enjoy

    Healing red

As you can see from my avatar, I have a lot of red on my back. I've never had a problem healing red, but as others have said, you're nowhere near healed at this point.

Yep. Red reacts funny with some folk. On the other hand, you've still got a month or more's healing expected.

    Painful after 2 weeks

It's thin delicate skin, just about as far away from the heart as possible. Leg tattoos can be hard to heal, especially if you won't or can't stay off your feet. I'm NOT a doctor, but if it was me I would prop my foot up as much as possible and put a cold pack on it for 15 minutes at a time every couple of hours. I'd also be taking Advil every 4 hours. I'd call your doctor back.

  8. You didn't scour too far or wide because there are probably a dozen threads right on this forum about this topic. 6-8 weeks to heal, no matter how many questions you ask.😉

  9. Take a deep breath and relax. you won't know anything until it's had 6-8 weeks to heal. That's some thin, delicate skin, so it make take a while.

  10. Yeah, you're gonna have to wait another 3-4 weeks to know what you've really got. That area gets lots of stretching and bumping, too. It may be just fine.

  11. Sounds like it's still healing. Give it another 3-4 weeks.

  13. I'll third those responses. It should settle in with your brain just fine, as it's pretty cool. I like it.
