Dude. Don't lie to him. It is AWFUL. It is badly done and amateurish. There isn't a straight line to be seen anywhere. All the damn shading in the world can't fix that horrible tattoo.

If you can walk in and ask to get a tattoo that large, RUN AWAY. FAST.

Thank you all for your comments, it just affirms what I thought. I have sent pictures and the original design to another artist that has a good reputation locally, and a fairly long waiting list, hopefully is a good sign. As much as it's disappointing I guess it's as much my own fault for not being more diligent. I have a day off tomorrow, I will see.if I can get a couple of consultations as well as what I have lined up already

That won't work. Tattoos don't work like that. There are NO do-overs. Even getting it lasered doesn't completely remove it. If someone suggests that, run Forrest, run! I don't mean this in a condescending way, but you need to educate yourself on the tattoo process, the coverup process and the laser process.

If you do your homework and find a great artist, then you will end up with a great tattoo but probably not the one you wanted. Something to possibly consider is lasering it to be lighter. Laser is a long process, painful and expensive but something to consider to maybe lighten it up for a coverup.

Thanks for the replies, I am pretty annoyed by it all, but gotta accept some responsibility myself. Considering getting it blacked out then white over the top to start fresh if I can't find anyone to fix it as it is. I agree with you all, there isn't one straight line the more I look at it... Exactly. It lasts so long that it probably ends up being cheaper, but some people just wanna use Palmer's, and that's cool. Just doesn't smell like you could eat it. 🤣

yeah, there's barely a straight line in there. I don't know about fixing it. You'll need to find a qualified artist and see what they say. You'll likely have to compromise on the original plan.

I must admit the flakes of skin that are coming off are still coming off a little bit sticky with the Dermalize that didn’t come off. Thank you all for putting my mind at ease a bit! 🙂 Here’s my other tattoo on the other side 🙂
