It's too early to tell. It isn't remotely healed yet. You need to just look after it, don't over moisturize it, and keep it clean. You can always get it touched up. Is this your first tattoo?3 points

Every tattoo does not heal exactly the same way. Don't drown it, just a light coating of whatever you use. I just use cocoa butter, no need for that expensive stuff. Complete waste of money, IMHO.2 points

Is this normal? Just removed dermalize.

I use Tegaderm all the time. Sometimes I don't scab/peel; sometimes I do. Just keep it clean, very lightly moisturized (I don't dry heal) and don't muck with it. 🙂2 points -

Dude. Don't lie to him. It is AWFUL. It is badly done and amateurish. There isn't a straight line to be seen anywhere. All the damn shading in the world can't fix that horrible tattoo.1 point

If you can walk in and ask to get a tattoo that large, RUN AWAY. FAST.1 point

Agreed. Hustle butter smells so good it’s almost edible... not sure how good it’d taste tho 😂. I used mine over my sleeve and I haven’t even touched half the jar. Guess it’s time for more 😆1 point

Thank you all for your comments, it just affirms what I thought. I have sent pictures and the original design to another artist that has a good reputation locally, and a fairly long waiting list, hopefully is a good sign. As much as it's disappointing I guess it's as much my own fault for not being more diligent. I have a day off tomorrow, I will see.if I can get a couple of consultations as well as what I have lined up already1 point

I like Palmers, but I love the smell of Hustle Butter. That said, I've only bought it once because it lasts forever. You use such a small amount. To each their own.1 point

Yeah a lot of people have said that to me, originally I just used palmers cocoa butter but this time over panicked and bought a £20 tub of Hustle Butter which is just expensive cocoa butter aha, lesson learnt 🙂1 point

You can't "fix" this. Your artist lied to you, shading doesn't correct a crooked line or fix a bad design. Your best bet is to find another artist. Don't just look at peoples work on line, people put up work they didn't do all the time. I wouldn't go to anyone without a personal recommendation from someone I know and trust.1 point

yeah, there's barely a straight line in there. I don't know about fixing it. You'll need to find a qualified artist and see what they say. You'll likely have to compromise on the original plan.1 point

Thank you, I have made Contact with someone else to see if they can fix it of cover it. I queried the original artist and was told nothing was wrong, I won't be going back, it looks scribbled on and nothing like the original artwork the more I look at it. I am pretty disappointed...1 point -
I’m by no means a professional and it’s way too early to tell.. mine scabbed like yours and mine healed fine (I had tegaderm on mine)... it also flaked exactly like yours... again, mine healed fine. I did lose some ink on my elbow but I don’t think that’s due to anything other than the fact it’s hard to keep ink there for some people.... give yourself at least two-three weeks and if you need any touch ups, I’m sure your artist will be able to recommend the next course of action. Looks good tho. Really well done tattoo.1 point

What kind of style are these tattoos?

Oh, you're in a tattoo artist Mecca. Boulder, Denver and Co. Springs all have LOTS of talent.1 point -
I'd just keep it clean and dry. If you want to pick one of those two, I'd use Hustle Butter but VERY sparingly. Great tattoo, by the way.1 point

It takes 4- 6 weeks for a tattoo to heal. I wouldn't start to worry until then. BUT, it wouldn't hurt to send pics to the artist and ask them.1 point
