Holy potatoes Batman. That’s bloody terrible! I’d highly suggest you let the artist know also... who knows if it was picked up there or during the mending process. Either way, it’s good to inform them. I’m so sorry to that you’ve had such a rough time. I hope you heal up ASAP and you’re able to enjoy your tattoo, finally.

  2. Hey there - you are using WAY TOO MUCH ointment. Clean your tattoo gently with antibacterial soap, pat GENTLY with a paper towel or let air dry then use a rice sized dab of ointment. You are smothering your tattoo! When did you get it? Is that your first tattoo? @Marciyah D

  3. You "did" this tattoo three days ago? Who did it? You or an actual artist? Either way, a blowout is a blowout. Nothing you can do to "fix" it.

  5. There're right and wrong ways to do this. The right way is to slog it out as a shop assistant, eat shit, pay your dues, then MAYBE earn the right to be an apprentice. Then eat more shit, pay more dues, then MAYBE earn the right to tattoo. Do it the right way.

  6. I'd suggest you'd just keep it clean and quit putting anything on it. It's called a dry heal. Looks like a good plan in your case.

YIKES. This is why it is best to go to the doctor if you have any question about such things. Glad you are on the mend.

Ive been in contact with him since I first started seeing something was off! It was most likely something that I did/ didn't do because the infection looks superficial, thank god. Thank you, me too this has been an awful experience.

  14. Goodluck with your healing. The first one is always a little scary! Lol. How long ago did you have it done? I’m with the others on this, definitely stop using ointment. It needs to dry up and breathe, right now it looks like it’s suffocating. You’ll be right tho. Give it a few days without anything on it and it should dry up nicely.

  15. If you are learning to tattoo, you must be apprenticing somewhere?. If not? You're a scratcher. Also, if you read the rules? We don't give tattooing advice here. It isn't what we do here.

  16. oboogie and I’m not a scratcher, I’m learning to tattoo, sorry if I wanted to try on real skin and asked advice about my skin blowout in a tattoo forum, didn’t expect it to be offensive! Neither be banned from the forum for asking! [emoji2374] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  17. Wow! Don’t really understand it, I thought it was a forum for people help each other not judge. I’m doing some tattoo courses and decided to practice on myself instead of someone else. Crazy! I just wanted to ask diferente opinions. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  18. Wow. I’m glad you picked up on that @oboogie... I didn’t even put two and two together. Don’t come here asking for advice when you’re doing that shit yourself and taking a huge risk!

  19. It’s a self tattoo, I did it myself as I’m practicing it, fixing I mean using a larger needle to “hide the blowouts”. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It’s pretty well done in my opinion. Definitely don’t see a swastika and honestly I think your “friend” probably doesn’t realise how much damage that comment has done. It definitely looks like a 4 and I never would have thought otherwise. I think it’s easy for people to criticise someone because 1. They’re jealous 2. They’re insecure or 3. They’re just an outright asshole. it’s been a year in the making, don’t let a stupid untrue comment like that, prevent you from enjoying it.

Do a search. It’s very common to initially regret a new tattoo. Do you know what a swastika looks like? I’ve never seen one that looked like that. Don’t do anything without giving it a few months. I’ve seen a lot of disasters caused by people rushing out to “fix” something. It a nice tattoo, enjoy it.

  24. Just got back from my first session since the pandemic hit. Never had a chance to get a touch up and glad that I was finally able to! My artist, Joshua Ross, gave it another pass through (going over the outlines especially). Should settle in nicely once healed. Now on to the itching, my favorite part. And whatever anxieties I felt a few weeks back have subsided. I'm embarrassed to have freaked out over it, and I really am quite proud of the way it's come out. Btw, I was stoked to find out that my tattoo was featured in the official Queen fan club magazine this month. Anyway, thanks to everyone who took the time to read and respond in this topic. Cheers.

It still looks very wet. If you're putting anything on it not prescribed by your doctor then stop, for sure. Tattoos need air to heal.

    Tattoo Video Stills

Hey guys. In like 2016 a film student made a video of an old session of mine getting waves and leaves added to my turtle by Takashi Matsuba in his old studio. Thought I'd post some stills from the video here. The video's locked, but it's cool.

Went to the er and they put me under observation for a night and some, ending up being ca-mrsa :(. Pumped antibiotics thru an iv and gave me oral antibiotics to take when discharged. Hoping this medication kills it! Thanks for checking up! <3
