New Member...and With Tattoo Regret as well

Don't get anymore tattoos for a while. You can't obsess over details and worry about what people think. Seriously. Just wait a while before you do anything else. I love Freddie Mercury, and the records they created when he was still around. I am not a fan of the other three guys and their botching of his memory, but I love Freddie.2 points -
Hello all, help me fix my chest tattoo!

No, you can't "erase" tattoos. That's not how it works.2 points -
I agree with @Hogrider. If your artist doesn't know where to take this then you need to find someone with some inspiration. Are you prepared to pay a qualified tattooist?2 points

I'd say you have too much time on your hands if this is what you spend your time worrying about. If you'd gotten it the other way people would be telling you that was wrong too. Next time someone says that just say, "You know if I want to hear an ass hole I'll fart."2 points

Hello all, help me fix my chest tattoo!

This is why I'm glad I joined this community. I definitely have much to learn. While I was aware you can't outright erase the tattoo, I didn't think it would make the process even harder for the tattoo artist. I'm both humbled and thankful!1 point -
Hello all, help me fix my chest tattoo!

As mentioned, even removing it, you’d never start from scratch unfortunately, there would be scar tissue etc.. in fact I could be wrong but I think it’d be even harder for the tattoo artist to work with.1 point -
I thought that too... i did a half sleeve (two 8 hourish sessions) and I sat through a previous one at 3 1/2 and figured I’d be fine. It sucked, pretty bad. I feel for you sitting through that on your chest.... lol1 point

That doesn't sound like a bad idea. A full day (6-8 hours?) on your chest is gonna suck.1 point

That is a nice tattoo! The people commenting don't understand the original, so their comments shouldn't hold any value to you.1 point -
Not to be argumentative, but if they can’t come up with something then they aren’t even near the best shop in the state. I’d keep looking. for Christ’s sake, I’m not even an artist and I could see fixing that with a snake cover up. Anything with curves and scales.1 point

It is awful, it's not fun to have. I hear what you're saying, there has been suggestions but I'm trying to see what having multiple ideas from others would bring up. I have a buddy that works at one of the best shops in the state and between him and two other artists they were all stummped and didn't seem to want to take it on. Though thats true I suppose there has to be someone out there a little more dedicated that I could find as well1 point
-
Sorry, but that is really awful. Frankly, if you are on an internet forum looking for suggestions, I think I'd find another artist. A really good artist should be able to look at that and make multiple suggestions for fixing it.1 point

Again not beating up on the OP because I don't know him or what he thinks, BUT I think there are a lot of people that think you can just laser a tattoo off and the skin will look like new, or that you can cover any mess of a schitty tattoo with no trace.1 point
