    First Tattoo - Anxiety

Thanks man, I’m slowly growing more and more into it. I take it more as brutal honesty which is sometimes needed.

that and that the original purpose of this forum was to celebrate tattoos, the process of getting them and to educate the public on how to get the best possible experience and result.

Seems to me that you should be here a little longer before you begin laying down judgement on others that have literally spent hundreds if not thousands of hours responding to people's questions and trying to help them through their experiences.

  5. Under cheek is by far my worst experience. I have 1 down and 1 to go and the odds are good my healing is going to be an experience. Sitting, standing, walking, existing; I feel like a wimp.

You may be an old fart, but you're right. I'm an old fart too.

  7. Tomo time this weekend. Damage report to follow. Keep my crack in your prayers, its time for what I assume will be the most uncomfortable part of this back.

@cgrave see a nice person with nice words. But he’s not on his own the OP is going through a rough time at the moment it’s been 3 weeks and I’m still not adjusting I don’t know.

  10. if I can’t adjust to the tattoos I have I’d get the saw out if I had anything like what you have in your picture. That’s for sure

    Numbing Cream

relaxed, slow and deep (almost meditative) breathing is how I've successfully dealt with the more tender area tattoo sessions.

    Numbing Cream

I would consult a particular one before an appointment not just bring any and besides one of my previous artists mentioned about numbing cream to use to ease the pain but never had one in studio so not only you avoid to give an advise but it's not exactly right what you are saying at least from my own experience. It starts to be funny really why is it so hard to answer so simply question and instead get trolled you could just answer instead of writing this^ ,okay sorry I asked.

If you don't want to help then don't bother posting answers like this I have only asked a question. Why do you ask me this?

  14. It's a good tattoo- but it doesn't matter what I think or what anyone else here thinks. It's your tattoo. I don't agree that people with OCD shouldn't get tattoos. That's not a reasonable barrier. Besides, what a great opportunity to practice letting go of control of details. You put your faith into someone else and will now have it forever. It's a good tattoo from a good artist. I'm sorry you didn't enjoy the experience of getting it. If you do get more tattoos in the future enjoying the process is something to aspire towards. Now you get to work on accepting the tattoo, learning to love it - flaws and all (not that I can see any but I believe you there are some because there usually are). It's a good tattoo with safe content in a "safe" location on your body. I believe you can learn to love it in time.

You guys haven’t been tattooed long enough to be talking about lasering. What if you hate the coverup? Just live with it for a while. Honestly, you really shouldn’t get tattooed ever again if it causes you this much anxiety.
