Something a little different (i think). Let's share our tattoo related paraphernalia!! Here's a start... I got a couple masks from Chris Brand, a wooden hannya i scored at the Alamedia Point Antiques Fair and a pet rock painted by Jondix. I got more, but I'll show you mines if you show me yours. "Show me what you got!"

I think you should leave it. it will just end up darker and muddier.

You won't know what it's going to look like until it's healed. Who told you it was infected? Is it oozing puss? Does it smell? If neither of those, it's unlikely that it's infected. If it IS infected, you need to see a doctor to get antibiotics. You have way too much lotion on that, it looks like it's drowning. The idea is to use just enough to keep the skin from drying out. Did you get that done in a shop? Whoever did that really mauled your skin.

Thanks for sharing your progress. I've seen some people 'casually' recommending laser removal before getting a cover-up on the Internet. But the pictures you've shown so far definetely proof that steps like these shouldn't be taken carelessly, even when you're unhappy with your tattoo.
