Hey all, been gone for a while, hope everyone is well. I have time scheduled with Chad Koeplinger in about a month to do my chest. This is probably gonna be my first multi session tattoo. Just breezed through the new tattoo pics, y'all age getting some great shit out there.6 points -
Opinions

For me, exactly no on the eyeball tattoos. Blackout tattoos, if done well, are cool. Not for me but I can certainly appreciate (almost) any well done tattoo.3 points -
Tattoos take 4 - 6 weeks to heal. You won't know anything until then.2 points

Does anybody had insult your tattoos?

To each their own. What one may like, another may not. If you love it, that is all that matters.2 points -
Really need advice!

Good. I’m glad you are going. It may be overly cautious, but you sound really worried. Just see what the doctor says.2 points -
Latest tattoo lowdown.....

After taking the wrapping and bandages off. It’s complete, however you can tell the areas that have healed versus fresh ink. Looking forward to it completely healing and settling in. Hard to get the whole thing in one picture. I’ll get better ones once healed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk2 points -
Ummm... nope and nope. Your eyes are just way too precious to take any chance with something like that. Besides, the appearance just creeps me the hell out. To me, some of the main reasons for getting tattoos is the the art, beauty and the individualism and blackout tattoos has none of that. I of course don't care if others get them, but just find no appeal in them.1 point

The symbolism in your tattoo design is exactly whatever it means to you.1 point

Thanks for the help, I'll keep you updated. Fingers crossed I'm just over thinking it. I was supposed to get a touch up and some more shading done on Aug 3 but from the looks of it may have to push it back a couple weeks.1 point

You can't let others run your life. If you like it and/or want others, do what makes you happy and ignore the people that try to bring you down. My getting tattooed was my statement that after way too many years I'm no longer let others make me feel bad for my choices. It can be tough, but it's well worth it.1 point

That kind of thing that I'd work out with your artist. I'm in no way artistic and besides, my tastes may be drastically different than yours.1 point

Who knows, either way infected or not I will be going to see the doctor in Wednesday to be sure. Just wanted insight to see if maybe I'm over thinking it.1 point

Got my first tattoo cover up
Gingerninja reacted to oboogie for a topic
I feel bad for you, but this kind of obsessing isn’t normal. And you have a perfectly nice tattoo. There really is no need to be upset. That’s why I’m concerned.1 point -
Just keep it clean and let it heal. You’re probably futzing with it too much. Don’t put anything on it other than washing it a couple of times a day. If color falls out, you can always get it touched up.1 point

Yeah, that yellow is just body ooze. You'd see the same effect if you had a brush-burn that was under stretching/shrinking.1 point

Couldn't agree more with both of you guys. My first tattoo was extremely meaningful but full black and in the middle of my forearm to cover scars. I still love it but it's in an awkward place and so I won't be able to complete a sleeve unless I get a tattoo around/lasered off. I would say really take your time and make sure your artist is actually good and don't look for "cheap" artists.1 point -

I wouldn’t recommend having your first tattoo experience be on your back down your spine. That being said, welcome! Do your research on an artist that has done similar work to what you want. Show them some references and don’t rush the process. Try to think about your future plans too and where this tattoo will fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk1 point -
a question I thought I'd never ask - most $ you'd spend on a tattoo?
Boiled Dove reacted to Hogrider for a topic
No. I think you should leave the artist out of this. Tattoos are a commodity like any other. You want one from this person, you pay; just like if you want a Mercedes S Class, you pay more than for a Toyota. We can't always afford the things we want when we want them.1 point -

I hope to join the LST Big Cat Club in early November with a crawling jaguar on my left thigh from Jason Brooks. That'll probably be it for me through next year up to my wedding; I'm also in the process of trying to get together funds to open a store. I'll have to live vicariously through you guys for awhile ;)1 point
