  1. i just wanted to give an update and let anyone worrying about their tattoo know that mine looks a million times better after 3 weeks! it was ugly while it was in the peeling stage, but everyone's advice to let it go and wait was 100% spot on. :~)

  2. I don't dry heal, but I've reduced the amount of aftercare exponentially from what I did when I started getting tattoos. I don't notice any difference in healing. The only think I do that has really helped from a comfort level is that I take a really hot bath as soon as I get home and again the next morning. My artist got this from Filip Leu's shop when he was being tattooed by him. Apparently it's also very common in Japan, although for some reason it's frowned on in the US. My tattoos haven't healed any differently since I started doing this, but there is a huge difference in the amount of discomfort.

  3. I've gone down the dry healing route for the latest after the crap with the last one - 4 days in and do you know what, I think I'm going to stop with the lotions and potions for aftercare - seems to be healing just fine by itself without me poking at it with salve. Also my clothes aren't covered in crap, which is nice. Anyone else just letting stuff heal by itself these days? -

  4. No work from Horitomo has been tebori. I'm only there for one weekend every three months so we're going the fastest way possible. I waited on his waiting list for 2 years before I got to come in to see him. I understand his list is much much longer now.

    Question?

Looks like you are putting way too much lotion. Other than that it looks like normally healing. Anyways you will have to wait at least 4-6 weeks untill you know the outcome and be able to do anything with it.

  8. @Oiocha It's worth it! By the end of the weekend, it will all be a distant memory. There is never a good time to get your ass tattooed.

  9. My ass hurts, my tailbone hurts, every pair of pants is now "too itchy". I should not have done this to myself.

    Am I botched?

I don't know, I read it before reading your post. It's your call as what to do with it, just live with it awhile and be sure you know what you want. Don't jump from one mess into another.
