    Enjoying Tattoos ?

Hi, it is therapy in a way for me, getting tattooed is such an intimate experience, the entire process from consultation to mentally preparing and physically preparing the day before and the day of,eating good,pre-hydrating,good sleep the night before, mentally over coming the pain,to the after healing, etc, etc. is a process I enjoy.

  2. Well, it releases adrenaline and endorphins, so...yeah, it hurts and yet it can be exhilarating. I enjoy being tattooed, both the experience and the perma-art.

    Enjoying Tattoos ?

Had my first tattoo at the beginning of this month and then a second one last week. Waiting for them both to heal before I get my next one which will be a bigger one. I personally find the feeling quite therapeutic, and like looking after the tattoo once it's been done.. It's not as uncomfortable as having an injection or blood test in my opinion, how about you guys. Before I had my first one I thought it would be painful but i was wrong 😄

  4. I was explaining to my daughter that it's both exhausting and exhilarating in a weird way. I find the first cut hurts and then it doesn't hurt for a while and then after awhile it hurts again. I also find the shading worse than the lines but my wife disagrees with this. I think the longest I've sat for a tattoo is about 3-4 hours but I don't have anything at all on my left arm so maybe someday.

  5. Been monitoring my " brain zaps " as they are called and they're so minor that it only affects my head every few hours for a split second, should be fine, will keep updated when I get my next ( bigger ) piece thanks

  8. You gonna be all good, just let your artist know before he starts and do tell if you feel like having a few minutes rest.

  10. Thank you everyone, will probably do it it in more than one session. Appreciate all the advice ^.^ And I'm not covering it up, I'm adding on to it as I've lost more family members 🤙

  11. Ditch whoever told you the lifework was bad. It's not perfect, but there is no such thing as a perfect tattoo. That's a real dick move, trying to ruin your tattoo for you. Enjoy your tattoo, it looks fine.

  13. The pictures above are just an update. 4 days since first session. I’m simultaneously encouraged and discouraged by the progress. I see a few spots with really significant lightening others that look no different. I heard the first few sessions might not yield much. I’ll post when there is news.

  14. Thank you John, I'm certainly not thrilled either. One the one hand I feel a bit ridiculous spending so much money, going through so much pain for such a long time on something I did to myself knowing it was permanent. On the other hand, if it works, it certainly is not getting off easy. Day one after first treatment: Neck sore but not nearly as bad as yesterday. I'm able to wear one of my looser fit dress shirts, tie and top button fastened. I don't know if this is helping but I cut off the short sleeve from a T-shirt and stretched it enough to get it over my head and on my neck. The constant contact prevents my dress shirt from rubbing or scraping. From a progress standpoint, I am surprised just how much faded in certain areas while others appear to have no change (other than red and swollen). I'm sure this is due to depth and saturation of ink. I'll update when there is news.
