I agree, that's a pretty standard Asian theme. I also like it and if were mine, would not want to change a thing. I imagine after it's healed the color could be changed slightly (very) to more purplish. You'd have to consult your artist. I think the blue goes fine with the other colors... blue, red, yellow area primary colors after all.

  3. A few things to consider... You will be one giant open wound. The chances for infection will increase each session. Do every thing you can to boost your immune system before, during and after each session. Are you traveling alone? Having someone to help you on during and after the sessions would be a great idea. You may not heal the same or as well as normal tattoos...think about the trauma to your skin and immune system. Last year, I was tattooed five days in a row but they weren't all day sessions , like ~16 hours total and all different tattoos. It was enough. This past week, I did two sessions (one 4 and 1 five hour). I know for me, keeping my immune system healthy and managing the healing process are my top priorities.

  4. I wouldn't even think about it for 4-6 weeks. Until it's healed you don't know what it's going to look like. The face on one of the tigers on my leg looked too dark when I got home. Within three days it looked great. The dragon on my ribs looked too dark until it settled in. You just have to be patient. Not picking on you OP, but there have been a rash of people on here worried about their fresh tattoos. I don't know if artists aren't educating their clients properly, or clients aren't educating themselves properly. These are pretty basic things that you should know before you get a tattoo.

Thank you for your reply . I appreciate it and your right. I think I will leave it . Maybe it’s just about getting used to having my whole arm covered in color as well .

  7. Also Ginjerninja said: "I had my right knee colored in last Thursday (the line work was done last October). At this point, my left knee cap can stay empty forever!" Utmost respect to both of you - mine was mostly around the knee and not directly over 🙂 - ... somewhat interestingly I think I'm going for a piece next that will mean I have the joys of the knee ditch... and then after that inner thigh - marvellous 🙂

  9. I say focus on your overall health. Eat super clean. Take your vitamins. Go get a checkup. Also, make a contingency plan. What if you aren't healed? You really want to put a backpack on your fresh backpiece? I say go find a beach and sit under an umbrella. Why risk messing up a fresh tattoo with a backpack? Think of all the sweat and friction on a fresh tattoo....

  11. If you have a good tattoo artist he/she should be able to cover that scar very easily, here's the scar I had covered:

Well, even as a boy I'd never dream of changing from the woman who has been cutting my hair for the last ~20 years (wow!) in the same salon. Although she is about to fully retire, so I will have to find somebody else in a few months...

  15. Got this Tattoo in the fall and I’m just not happy with how the lines turned out. They’re pretty shaky throughout, and I just don’t know what to do at this point. Already had it touched up once by the same guy, and it didn’t help much. Advice would be appreciated.
