I read this article yesterday as well. I've thought about this tattoo preservation in the past ... my organ donor card has "skin" as the exception ... But now I'm feeling more like when my time comes to cross, i want my tattoos cremated with my body. I'm taking them with me to the other side. Tattoos are my spirit armour. Without being "lived in", well, tattoos are just pictures on dead skin and lose the meaning if I am not alive. Just me personally. This belief is dynamic, just like the meaning behind all my tattoos. cheers

Hi all, Long time posting here (I must post up my latest pieces here). Myself and the better half our currently touring South East Asia for a few months and starting to get the itch for another tattoo... Where we have left to visit is: Cambodia, Vietnam, Indonesia and the Philippines. Does anyone have any particular shops or artists they could recommend? We hope to make it to Melbourne at the end of the trip to visit friends (finances permitting!) so will definitely be getting work there if I don't get anything I'm Asia. I plan on going up flames like a Durafame log. Not opposed to if someone wants to preserve their skin (I think the concept is really cool).

And you've paid a deposit and you've got an appointment date. Go ahead, but if they cancel again, I'd ask for the deposit back and make a stink if they don't give it. Not having time to draw the tattoo is a bullshit excuse for cancelling since they had 3 month's notice.
