New with tattoo regret
cailin.rua and one other reacted to SStu for a topic
Glad you're owning the communication issue, but aside from that = live with it. You've got what appears to be a quality and attractive tattoo, and trying to erase part of it isn't going to turn out the way you're envisioning it.2 points -

I am low key obsessed with this traditional rose done for me by Tom Einheuser out of Union 3 Tattoo in Detroit over the weekend. I’m really pleased with the placement, and how my leg is finally starting to fill up! Here are links the artist and shop’s Instagram accounts: https://instagram.com/tattoos_by_tom_einheuser https://instagram.com/union_3_tattoo2 points

New Here w/First Tattoo
Intomyskin reacted to Charmed for a topic
Hi all.... I'm new to the forums and new to tattoos. I got my first tattoo a month ago and love it. Of course I have plans for more. I am posting a pic of my beautiful rose tattoo. I love everything about it except placement. It looks so alone and "empty" on the front of my lower leg. I'd like to add to it on the sides or underneath it with a green vine and/or black swirl design. Suggestions are most welcome. I'm glad to be here. 🙂1 point -
New with tattoo regret

Oh, I understand now. IMO, if you color it in, it will be even MORE bold.1 point -
Welcome! Frankly, your artist seems hot and cold. To me, the side and ankle pieces are way more inspired than the others. The shoulder piece isn't very large or dark, so it would be easy to cover. Personally I'd be looking elsewhere to get it done. We can provide some recommendations if want to let us know where you live.1 point

@Charmed– I'm definitely a fan of large pieces and heavy coverage. But I have to say that there is sometimes something very dramatic about a single well-placed tattoo, and yours falls into that category. It is like a single painting hanging in the middle of a wall, it sort of focuses the eye. Very pretty! That being said, the wrapping idea sounds nice. Alternatively, since you seem to be inclined to get more tattoos, maybe you could move to another part of your body for your next piece, and let this one sit for a while as you ponder ideas for your leg. As @Hogrider said, think about where you want to go with your leg. Do you want an integrated large piece, or a collection of pieces?1 point -
I'm a month shy of 25y/o. I'm just not a movie guy; I'm a comic book and punk guy. I also like the Mohawk Hot stuff, very 80's-90's NYHC. Wonderful tattoo though, lets not take away from that.1 point

Oh beautiful... Just lovely. I especially love the bird on your left thigh. They all look like you take good care of them. I know it can't be but they all look new to me. This must have taken quite a while. When did you get your first leg tattoo done? What's on the top of your left foot? Can't quite tell.1 point

Blowout or just healing
Gingerninja reacted to oboogie for a topic
"Yes, it looks perfectly normal the way its healing." "No, you aren't allergic to ink."1 point -
Errr. I'm not sure how well those would work. It might look even weirder than you think it does now (and it doesn't look weird at all). Just wait. No rush. Don't make rash decisions, or you may live to regret them. If you want more work around it, talk to a good artist. My legs are covered in seemingly unrelated tattoos, and I love how it looks. But I didn't just run out and add them to fill up space.1 point

I didn't know what Gorilla Biscuits was. Had to look it up. I'd guess I'm quite a bit older than @Oiocha?1 point

I like the wee fella with the mohawk to the left of mine, too. But I've been obsessed with the Clockwork Orange one for yonks—probably because this bit of flash is hung on the wall beside the bench in the waiting area. There are so many great ones on that sheet. I've stared at it lots of times. Also, I love Hot Stuff, and I already have a little editor one with glasses and spectacles that Josh drew up to represent me (I'm a proofreader/copyeditor.). 🙂1 point
