get all the cherubs with blacked out penises. or is it peni? (pronounced peen-eye)

  2. My two cents: if you have to think about anything this much, it is not a good idea. Hands are a big deal, no matter what the internet seems to say. Why not come clean with your parents? That seems t be the logical first step.

So great meeting and hanging with you guys and gals! Still having a hard recovery from that Sylvia ankle hahahaha. Maybe one day I'll get tattoos in places that aren't super dumb to get tattooed! I'll get around to final pics, but my list is: Flaming Eagle Talon from Grez Switchblade from Mike Wilson Lucky mallet from Acetates Kintaro Mask from Dan Sinnes Rose and barbed wire from Sylvia (ouch!) Robo-Tiger from Lehi Ended up getting a small Hot Stuff tattoo from Todd Noble at his studio a couple days later thanks to a missed flight hahahaha. Time to mentally prep for Bay Area!!

  4. IMHO,If you’re hiding your sleeves from your parents, you aren’t ready for hand tattoos. It’s a huge step that will be with you for the rest of your life.

  8. You are obsessing over this tattoo. Both threads, you're worried about something being wrong with it, despite everyone saying it's fine. Regarding scarring, you obviously have no idea what scarring is or you wouldn't ask about this tattoo. Tattoos aren't meant to be looked at from 1 inch away. If you take a magnifying glass to ANY tattoo you'll find something wrong with it. If I put this tattoo on someone and they publicly posted that it "looked messed up", I'd never tattoo them again. I don't mean to come across as too harsh, but people should do their homework BEFORE getting tattooed.

  9. I think it looks fine in both threads and to both questions. It's never going to be perfect, and any tattoo ever will have imperfections if you overanalyze it. Enjoy it and live with it for a while. It will become part of you and normal soon enough. But if you don't like it, just put a panther over it and let's call it a day here.

Here are 5 of the 7 I got last week. Unfortunately, that rose isn't gonna be that pretty once she finally heals lol. Looking rougher than hell right now. Will upload some pics of other two once I take some.

Haha, man. Watching @Bearcat78 get after it was truly something. After I got my stomach done, I was cringing at the thought of getting tattooed again. Impressive, sir.

  17. Yep...I see exactly the spot you are referring to. It's awesome. If anyone other than you wife was looking at it that closely, then THAT would be an issue!
    1 point
  18. IT DOESN'T LOOK LIKE A PENIS. Oh, my god. IT DOES NOT. Your wife might need glasses, or you have one weird-looking penis, man. 😂

  19. Yup, I've been new to lots of things. I don't keep asking the same question because I'm not getting the answer I want. If you think that tattoo is scarred, blown out, or messed up, you have NOT done your homework. ;-) Here's what you got from you're first thread - For what it is, it looks fine to me. - looks lovely; - it's looks great the way it is ! - I don't see anything wrong with that tattoo at all. - Nothing wrong with the execution of that tattoo. - It's a cute first tattoo! Despite this feedback, you then start another thread, "will this eventually heal okay?" IT'S HEALING FINE! You're getting lots of good feedback, you just aren't listening. It sounds like what you want to hear is that it's a mess and that you need to get it fixed. Have a good life, tattoos just aren't for you.

  23. He's right, harsh or not. You could have asked the same question on your other thread. But again, there's nothing wrong with it. I highly suggest you never get another tattoo. Someone this obsessed with over-examining a tiny, perfectly decent tattoo does not need other tattoos. I beg of you. Just don't.

  24. It doesn't remotely look like a penis. Maybe it's her way of telling you she's not getting enough?

  25. That 2nd picture looks a little suspect for infection, but the others not so much. Application looks to be done by someone without extensive training/experience which probably accounts for scabbing still after a week or more.

  26. Okay, redacted. 🙂 It still doesn't look like a penis.

  27. Dude...it doesn't look like a penis. Slap your friend.

  28. Yeah seriously, it was mentioned! In fact the same person said it twice. I thought nothing of it the first time, but had a look the second, and thought, “yes, it does indeed look like a penis”!!! I’m not at all the obsessive type, but thought I’d get some opinions!

  29. Okay, did someone tell you that it looked like a penis or did you get the idea all by yourself?

  32. I really don't like watercolor tattoos, but that looks fine to me! I once heard Cheyenne Sawyer say that instead of getting a coverup you should get better tattoos around the tattoo in question so they could talk to each other. So, if you're into it, just get more tattoos on that arm!

  36. It doesn't look scarred or blown out to me. I think it's the same issue as before: best to just be patient and manage your expectations, as it's a really pleasant tattoo, and I honestly think it'll be fine.

Hey...it's doubtful that you can get either of those images on your upper back. Those are full back images, even simplified. No real way to estimate prices but you are looking at 60 hours (?), maybe more (?) of work. Any artist that can really pull that off is going to be expensive. Think thousands.

@Hands On Hi there! The pup in my picture on the back piece experience thread is my 15 year old toy poodle Reginold. Hes the king of photo bombing lol I love my little man he has been with me for so long I dont even remember what life was like before him. This is him in the picture of my back piece, hes in need of a hair cut but hes gotten to the point in his life where he hates them The second one is him having to lay on me after my outline session of my back excuses my face I was totally delirious.

You got two AMAZING pieces! @Kevinb52 The Baku with the Oni really is one of the coolest tattoos that I've seen. It's funny that we were both in with the same guys on the same day (great minds). This weekend was: Grez - ray gun (the entire neurosurgery team today lost their collective sh1T when they saw it today) Dan - kappa Stewart - hannya Nick Colella - Chicago gorilla (great story on that one) Hendricks - panther head and rose I'll say it again...I LOVE Pagoda. When I was walking out, I was thinking that I was able to get tattooed by artists from three countries, as well as three different regions of the US all while in Wyomissing, PA. Makes me a little giddy.

  47. I'll definitely be there at least one day, but likely more. No tattoos planned yet. The last couple conventions, I've helped set up and breakdown with Andrew at Raking Lights Projects. It's cool to see and feel the different vibe and atmosphere at those times. I end up spending a lot of time chatting with him at his booth, so come by and say hi and check out some amazing art from some top-notch tattooers. Aside from art, they also put out some great books! If you don't have the 50 States book from Chad yet, you're missing out. Pick one up and go get it signed by Chad at the convention!! I also have a buddy who might come down from Seattle to attend... he's hoping to get another tattoo from Luxiano. I'm trying to convince him to get more from other artists as well since he's never been to such a convention of heavy hitters and he has plenty more space than I do.
